MSU is 3-3, with losses to USCe, A&M, Bama all but guaranteed. Have to win out against Kentucky, Arkansas, and Ole Miss to finish 6-6. In his 5th year, Dan Mullen is probably going to be toast if he loses any of those 3 games, especially if he closes out the season losing to Ole Miss and finishes 5-7.

Where does Dan end up? Head coach or back to assistant?
Who does MSU get to replace him?

Yeah I would think Franklin is the most likely to be gone. He has to be jumping ship.

If you're just referencing firings, then he'd be the only one I could see. I don't know that they'd fire the loser though. Might give him one more year.

If they're smart enough to fire him, I not smart enough to know who they should go after. I'd bet they go after Hudspeth at ULL though.

state will not be firing mullen after the season... in fact, no SEC coach will be fired after the season. Some may leave on their own (JF at vandy?), but no one's getting fired... the worst teams in the league all have 1st year HCs, and Mullen is the winning coach in school history.

Yeah I dont think they fire Mullen this year regardless of what happens. They would give him 1 more year.

He is their most successful coach since Darrel Royal did a two year stint in the 50s.

If they fire him they are morons.

Ms. State better make sure Hudspeth will be willing to leave the good thing has going at ULL before firing Mullen.

Vandy has no buisiness firing Franklin after the last two seasons. And frankly, half of the SEC east looks beatable from Vandy's perspective.

Again, folks. This right here.

Not a single wasted word. Slippery Slope is the master of brevity without loss of meaning or impact.

Nobody is saying he is getting fired.* They are saying he will go to greener pastures.

*assumes he knew nothing about the horrible rape stuff going on at Vandy. If he did, his career is toast.*
