quote:except he wasn't getting bull rushed on every play. That happened a minimal amount of times. The majority of the rushes on Maye were avoidable if they even TRIED to help the OL. And that includes helping the interior.

Gruden talked about it this morning. There is no help to give to an OT getting blown backwards.
He said you can bring TE help to chip etc when a guy is getting beat inside or around the edge, but when you simply just get pushed over their isn’t any help to give
I've yet to see one single play where a TE or RB even attempted to chip someone to help. Put a RB in and make him fricking stand between the LG and LT to help protect your QB. For frick's sake, move the pocket to the right. Call a fricking 5 yard pass. Throw a screen pass.
Nah, we're gonna keep sending 5 guys out on routes 20+ yards every fricking play and leave our OL out on an island and not even try to change our gameplan.
re: Is Grubb really that terrible of an OC?

quote:Here's some facts for you.
And Bama's run blocking was so porous that it didn't really matter what the OC called, it wasn't going to work with the blocking. Its not like he didn't try and run the ball. He probably called too many run plays considering. There were plenty of available plays for Bama that our players just didn't execute.
but prior to '24 and '25, Grubb's offenses have ran the ball well, very well, at times. And he's ran some great offenses in general over the years. There is a reason why he's been one of the hottest OC names in cfb the past 5 years.
The rushing rankings of Ryan Grubb offenses the last 6 years.
2025 Alabama - 125th
2024 Seattle (NFL) - 28th (out of 32 teams)
2023 Washington - 106th
2022 Washington - 69th
2021 Fresno - 91st
2020 Fresno - 108th
Having him paired next to a terrible LG hasn't helped. They're communication was awful, often just letting guys through untouched.
Drake Maye sucks so bad, he just confused his own WR and 2 DBs on a duck hail mary
quote:nah. It would've been the same. Shitty offense carried by a good defense all year? Am I talking about the Broncos or the Patriots? Can't tell.
Doubt they would’ve beaten Seattle, but it would’ve been a better game than this shite.

If Seattle didn’t get that TD on that last turnover, this could have been an interesting last 2 minutes
The broncos were carried by their defense. Even with Nix, they're basically a mirror image of this Patriots team.

Diggs spinning the ball down 3 TDs, lol
They really called the first hold of the game now? On that?
quote:nah. The OL has gotten beat plenty. They've also given him time and he's done shite with it. He's stepped into sacks, thrown horrific passes, fumbles, etc.
He’s had absolutely no chance

quote:well, if the refs didn't frick the Bills, they probably beat the Patriots and this game is interesting.
This Pats team should not be in the Super Bowl
Btw, sad not seeing Pete Carroll on the sidelines smacking gum after that defensive TD.

Ah found the gay for Maye guy

quote:why have you gone gay for a shitty Broncos offense that was carried all year by their defense. Look in a mirror. They're the same team.
Seriously why did a lot of you go gay for Maye this season? I have never gotten that
If Maye was mediocre tonight, the Patriots probably win. And if Darnold was average, the Seahawks blow out the Patriots. What shitty QB play on both sides.

Drake Maye didn't deserve that TD pass earlier. What a shitty QB.
Back to shitty Maye

Seattle OC is dumb. Run the clock. The only chance NE has is for the clock to stop often.
