at best Miss State is #6 in the SEC West and #10 in the SEC as a whole facility wise.

West
1 Bama
2 LSU
3 A&M? I don't really know anything about your facilities other than Kyle, which should be better after renovation, does your practice facilities really line up with State's new 25 million dollar facility? Probably not, just because ours was just finished and we wouldn't have built something that was already behind.
4 Auburn - Better stadium, but does their practice facilities really line up with State's new 25 million dollar facility? Probably not, just because ours was just finished and we wouldn't have built something that was already behind.
5. State (No doubt here)
6. Ole Miss/Arkansas - (State's stadium will be better after construction and practice facility is better.)

As far as the East, I would go with the same explanations other than the stadiums.

Even if you're 10th in the SEC, that's still easily top 25 in the country.

The people that bring us grind fest every year are the arbiters of funny? That's a damn shame.

In all seriousness, I'm sorry my attempt at levity didn't do it for you. I'll be sure to register my complaints next year before the inevitable Auburn loss ends "grindfest."

You can make a good case that he should be fired...but MSU just won't be able to pull the trigger.

Being able to react this quickly would require a tested, veteran athletic department who has a clear vision of what is needed to win and how to get there.

It's just not going to happen. They won't get rid of Mullen until there it is absolutely impossible to keep him.

Well at least I know who to blame for NBC's fall lineup on their "Who gives a rat's arse?" Thursdays.

I like the hell out of the Grinders!

They know their place in SEC football unlike some other fan bases and for the most part they are funny as shite.

Grind on.

Y'all are behind everyone in the West aside from possibly Ole Miss. In the East you would be behind UGA, Florida, Tennessee, and USCe.

and lol at thinking y'all potentially have better facilities than A&M.

lol no.

also, having better facilities than somebody like Utah or Purdue doesn't help Miss State recruit against all the teams in Miss State's immediate region that have better facilities.

Honestly, I think Kirby Smart would be a fantastic hire for Mississippi State.

Can't afford him. I hear his asking price is $4 Million a year

I'd like to know who MSU could get to replace him. Maybe UL-Laffy's coach

If you will look, I put us behind everyone except for Ole Miss and Arkansas. Unless you can present legitimate reasons in discussion, please let the grown ups talk.

Again, bring facts to support your part of the conversation. I clearly stated our stadium was smaller. Our practice facilities and new complex are state of the art.

Then he will be a coordinator for quite awhile yet. He wants to go from being a coordinator to a first year head coach with top 10 salary?
