The real question is what is it going to take to "put an end" to you coming on this SEC forum and spewing a bunch of stuff that no one cares about and where you are unwanted? Would you please do us all a favor and leave and never return?

That’s an arse whoopin ratings wise. One rivalry is fiercely-regional while the other seems to resonate on a national level.

Not really. It resonates on a national level when both teams are in line to make the playoff… like this year.

In 2013, the Iron Bowl featured two teams in the Top 4 and drew 14 million viewers…. And OSU-Michigan was only at 9.5 million on the same day.

The National audience is attracted when one or more teams are in the thick of the National Title hunt. Otherwise both mainly draw their audiences from the immediate region.

As noted previously, the state of Alabama is only 5 million in population compared to 22 million for Ohio+Michigan. Their “region” is a whole lot bigger.

I can't imagine coming on here bragging about viewership of a game I had lost!
You yankees are some messed up folks.

If Alabama and Auburn had been ranked 2 & 3 this iron bowl, you would have seen similar numbers. It’s because a lot of other fan bases tuned in that normally would not. Duh.

So Number 2 vs Number 3 had more viewers than Number 8 vs Unranked?

I'm amazed.
It would not have mattered. Switch the ratings and Ohio State vs Michigan would still be the bigger game.

THE GAME won the day with 19.07 viewers earning a 9.0 ranking. The next closest game was the Iron Bowl with 9 million viewers, earning a 4.3 rating.

That's an awful lot of people who watched OSU shite the bed.

I would NOT be proud.

It’s almost like two states with large populations had stakes in that game vs one state with a smaller population.

Weird how math works, am I right?

Now you're getting it. The B1G is a national brand while the SEC is still regional. The ratings will only go up when the expansion is complete and we have CBS to ourselves.

Ratings have always gone up yet the Big 10 can’t win championships.

I’m assuming you watch the games because you want your team to win championships, right?

The only reason I can fathom why you are bragging about views is you’re directly getting paid by ratings. So, how much are you personally making off these ratings Buckl?

Auburn was unranked coming off of a blowout loss to NMSU. alabama already has a loss and is only ranked #8.

Ohio State and Michigan were undefeated in the top 3.
