Great toy until you tried for a horizontal launch and got the water blast in the face. The energy came from compressed air.
Back then, the plastic had a curious, almost addictive smell—somewhere between Fleer’s Double Bubble gum and a faint trace of rice vinegar.
Had to read that out loud twice :rotflmao:

I am confused on something with a couple flights I researched

It has me flying on Air Korea but mentions Delta as the primary carrier. So if I go directly to Delta will that flight be the same or is the search using best options?

It’s the same flight—just a codeshare with different flight numbers. You can book either way, but you’ll be on Korean Air.
Just watch your connections. Like if you’re flying from a regional airport into Atlanta and then catching Korean Air—if that long flight gets moved earlier, it can mess up your first leg.

Never had a waterbed (were they really all that popular?)

They’re interesting - as long as you had a heater, baffles, a strong bed frame, and kept your cats outside…

Ads or ad reads? There's a huge difference

The ads on free YouTube, or the ones creeping into Premium feeds? You’d think there’s a difference— they’re both just noise at this point.
Feels like déjà vu from when cable promised “ad-free”.

Also, the flood of AI-generated content is making YT harder to sift through.

As a member of the Youtube Premium Master Race, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I also have YT premium but I do have an idea of what he’s talking about.

I bought it for the “no ads” feature but that is no longer the case. Many YouTube channels are increasingly adding ads “cleverly” embedded in the total content. And it’s a nuisance.
I tend to book 6 months out but always direct w/ airline and always refundable. Exceptions on 100 % refunds do occur. Some airlines impose a cancellation fee even though it’s a refundable ticket.

What does one do with a stolen fire hydrant?

Scrap metal for recycling?

Bogota had a severe problem with thousands of manhole covers stolen each year. It was particularly hazardous if you drove at night.

A walking safari would be the last type of safari I would consider.

ETA

Upon reflection, a swimming safari in the crocodile infested Rufiji River in Tanzania might be a strong contender.

Whoa!
Temu could knock off one of these designs. Wouldn't even need boosters. Comes with its own propulsion system.

Anybody have any hacks or sites that worked in the past that were cheaper than the typical third party sites?

No.
I don’t really bother with hacks or third party sites. I’ll use Booking, TripAdvisor, or Google Maps to check reviews and compare options, then narrow things down to a few hotels in a city I like.

From there, I book directly through the hotel and stick to refundable rates. If you’re staying multiple nights, hotels will sometimes offer a better deal, and it can be worth calling during business hours to ask a manager about any discounts or promos.
