NIL will cause some juniors that would jump for 3rd/4th round money to stay for their senior years. I guess one good thing out of all of this. A lot of really good college players that are super valuable to their teams aren't projected to be high draft picks in the league.
Injury risk is still there as it's a 1 year payment v. a contract, but you'll see more of this.

I thought Chambliss should've gone to the NFL and was hoping the Falcons would draft him. All I know is that little fricker couldn't miss in the Sugar Bowl and looked like Russell Wilson in his prime!

Admittedly not sure how he translates to the league. The height is an issue and the arm strength is good but not great. The accuracy, pocket awareness, pre-snap processing, and lightning release may make up for his shortcomings.

I wonder if the NCAA has an ace up their sleeve on the Chambliss issue?
NCAA ruled him ineligible. Local court enjoined the NCAA ruling.
I wonder if the NCAA will seek to vacate wins, prevent post season participation or something similar?

Sounds like a financially correct decision. Applying the 4% rule, he can withdraw 4% to live on and let the rest grow for ever. Withing 20 years it will grow to $19,000,000, with his first year withdrawal being the smallest at $240,000.
Basically no matter what he does after college he is getting double 6 digit yearly income for just being alive. If he goes into NFL or gets some other employment, that $6 million will be $100 million by the time he turns 55.
Fun times with compounding interest, if you let $6 million grow for 60 years - you will be a billionaire.
It is amazing how many athletes go broke.

Not really. Trinidad's team did a great job of providing all of the medical documentation that would normally be required for a medical redshirt. The NCAA decision to deny the appeal was arbitrary. The proceeding was streamed and recorded. Trindad's team had answers for everything, the NCAA just stood behind their ruling and then left the court before the judge even made his.
The NCAA is hoping the government will save them but I figure schools will move on from the NCAA before that happens.
