A fast food worker accused of fatally shooting a customer who complained about his order appeared in court Friday as new and disturbing details emerged about the incident outside a Checkers restaurant in Kissimmee.
The confrontation began as a typical customer complaint. Robertson reportedly asked multiple times to speak with a manager after receiving his order, possibly frustrated over missing condiments. What followed was an extraordinary escalation, ending in a fatal shooting that stunned the local community and raised concerns over workplace violence, especially in customer service environments
Mackey fled the scene on foot, running past nearby attractions before being apprehended.

How did Alexandria come to be known as Ellick?
Posted by Witty_Username on 5/9/25 at 11:01 am
I'm up in NELA, and Ellick is all I have ever heard it called. Apparently, some other posters did not know Ellick is Alexandria, so I was curious how the nickname came about. Do an OT etymologists out there care to enlighten us?

I still do this. I was taught this as a kid, and I can't undo it. The only time I don't do it is when typing on a cell phone like now.

You talking about Patel? I was talking about orange shirt guy. What details do you have to come to that conclusion?

The part that 100% seals his innocence for me is the second guy doing the exact same thing maybe 10 seconds later.
The defense attorney said she has interviewed the guy in the orange shirt. I'd really like to know what the mom was saying to him right after her interaction with Patel (when she backed into the display case). Was she asking him if he just saw the interaction with her and Patel? It's all speculation since there's no audio, but maybe she was trying to see if someone was going to be on her side if she just interpreted her interaction with Patel as an attempted kidnapping.

Any good recommendations for NELA area to play? I played Squire Creek a few weeks ago and it was amazing. I know I will not get the same experience as that, but looking for a nice place to play with a couple other dads when I'm up for a travel baseball tournament. TIA
I've never played Squire, but I hear it's immaculate. As you mentioned, none of the other courses will be on par with it. You really only have a handful of choices, and a couple of them, you'd have to play with a member.
- Chennault is public, but I'm not sure of its condition.
- Frenchman's Bend I believe is open to the public. I haven't played there in a year or so, but it was in decent shape last time I was there.
- Bayou Desiard you'd have to play with a member, but if you're wanting something close to Squire's manicure level, this would be the one.
- Calvert Crossing you'd also have to play with a member. It's in decent shape for being early, but they've had some issues with bald areas on 3-4 greens for a couple of years now.
- Black Bear is far away, but it's public. I just played it last weekend, and the scenery is awesome. There's not a house on the course; it's all in the woods. However, some of the tee boxes, fairways, and greens were not in great shape. The green fee was pretty cheap though, so it's probably worh it.

It's funny how you hear of people winning major payouts from minor car accidents, but I bet the family of the three year old doesn't sue or even snitch on the people involved.
I get what you mean, but this also comes down to economics. In a car accident, usually the at-fault party's insurer is the one paying the bill. In this case, the people responsible for the shooting are the only ones the victim can sue. How much money/assets do you think the shooters have?
