And it took you guys 3 years to lose the championships or bust expectations you guys claimed to have as a standard.

Standard still there, but not in year 1 for a coach with a whole new roster.

ETA:

We won a national title with 3 different head coaches in a row and fired Kelly because we didn’t think he’d be the 4th in a row.

Kelly won the SEC West Championship taking over a roster that had 39 players left. Then he had a Heisman QB.

Wait, so now yall think we made a mistake by firing BK because of this? My point stands that this board is retarded.

Spirits were high after year 1 then he wasted JD in year 2 with our worst defense in history. Then never improved after that.

LSU is without a doubt 100% making the playoff. I'm beyond confident in that.

ForeverGator? Another dumb opinion/thread?

Easy downvote.

It sure feels like our rival programs are setting the expectations of the fans more than how LSU fans actually feel.

9-4 would be very disappointing. I can live with 10-3 depending on how it happens. Were we injury plagued? Teams aren’t three deep everywhere anymore, though I love our starting lineup. Also LSU’s schedule is ridiculous this season.

Lane Kiffin is going to win big sooner rather than later, so I am beyond elated he’s our coach even if we (narrowly) miss the playoffs.

In year 1? I mean odds say prob not. Usually a new coaching staff takes a year to get their system in place and there are growing pains and kinks to work our year one. The jump from year 1 and year 2 is usually big for elite coaches.

Gloat over ole Miss, Florida, and auburn fans that we still have a better football program than they do and that we got the coach that they all wanted

So I will take that bet.

Ban bets are prob not liked by Chicken. So not sure what to bet here. But I will def take it.

If Lane had this team and say, Ole Miss’ schedule last season, this team is 100% in the playoffs.

Clemson
@ Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Alabama
Texas
@tennessee
@kentucky
@auburn

Are y’all shitting me? I’m saying 10-3 and we are a bubble playoff team, though we SHOULD be in with that schedule

10-3 you would make the playoff either as the SEC champ or by being 10-2 going into that game. Not worrying about useless bowl games.

My expectation is 9-3 and narrowly miss the CFP. This is LK's first year.

You can’t ever say they are higher expectations that an A&M or Ole Miss.

We can say we have more realistic expectations because i’ve actually seen my team win a CFB championship in person and on a color TV.

LSU fans' expectations this year are through the roof right now.

The melt will be glorious.

Keep trying to speak it into existence dude. What are Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas' .... expectations this year? Does anyone care to start a thread about something other than LSU and Lane Kiffin? This shite is getting boring.

I think you think anything but saying "LSU will never lose a game under Kif" is shitting.

It is just saying you do not go year 1 in a new HC and new staff and win a title year one...not many do(Urban Meyer at OSU)that. Just saying be at least a little realistic...

I mean year 1 under Kirby Smart Georgia went 8-5 even..and there is 0 doubt Kirby is the best coach in CFB right now. Curt Cig took 2 years as well to fix things.

I personally think Lane will do very well at LSU..but know first years are a transition in CFB. I think year 1 will be about fixing shite, year 2 all the kinx will be worked out of the system and LSU will succeed.
