What if Florida fails to win 9 games for the 7th year in a row?

A once proud program has simply accepted mediocrity.

Let's talk about LSU though!!!

We need to see how they'll gel together.

Jay Johnson, who is regarded as an elite coach, brought in a great transfer class and they didn't pan out. shite happens.

We have the money to do it every year and it'll hit more than miss, but that inconsistency is the new world in college sports.

I think Kiffin goes 10-2 or better to make the playoff but it should be expected with that roster they have now. Not making the playoff at 9-3 would definitely be underperforming with that roster. I think Vegas is underestimating LSUs chances to win it all unless there is a big issue with the O line or something.

What does Florida need to do in 2026 to be satisfied with the hiring of Sumrall?

Genuinely curious, only LSU and Lane Kiffin's expectations are ever talked about around here.

We are thin at CB, had injuries on the DL, and I don't think our LB room is elite by any means.

Our defense will have some bad games.

Then add on top of that we have some guys starting on the OL that weren't great last year and a whole new group of guys on offense playing together for the first time in a new system, we will have some bumps in the road.

We brought in some stars in the transfer portal, that's for sure, but there was no way to fill every hole on this roster and Brian Kelly left a bunch.

LSU fans' expectations this year are through the roof right now. The melt will be glorious.

Not through the roof but cautiously optimistic with this schedule. At least we have expectations and aspirations since we didn’t have to settle for a second choice like Gators.

We'll say damn that sucks, we spent a lot of money on that roster. You better do more next year.

he will lose at the very least 1 game he shouldn't lose a year. then he will lose the games he's supposed to lose....so book on 2 loses in his best years.

Our playoff team last year would have lost to the worst team in the SEC..Arky...had they not fumbled the ball. They were already in field goal range to kick the game winner.

Year before we lost to Kentucky...giving them maybe their only SEC win of the year.

I don't really expect to make the playoff in year 1.

It seems like more rival fanbases expect LSU to make it, than actual LSU fans.

Save year 1, which is a tough year to hit your peak in, I think we'll do better than Ole Miss because we will almost always have more talent than they did during his time there.

We will have a bigger target on our backs though, being such a better program.

It's also worth pointing out that Kiffin, while at Ole Miss, played some pretty weak schedules. LSU will generally play tougher schedules and we're all transitioning to a 9 game SEC slate now.

9-3 with 10 P4 matchups and 5 SEC road games in year 1 would be great, I expect 8-4 though.

Of course this board is already insisting 9-3 would be bad.

It's a big deal if LSU misses the playoff with that transfer class. Going less than 10-2 after that class would be pretty bad.
Why dont you tell us how that new hire HC at Flordia is going to do? Im sorry, what is his name again?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we make the playoffs this year. Expecting 9-3 with a brutal schedule and taking time to gel as a team with a (mostly) new coaching staff/culture.

Realistically think this is about building a foundation this year and expect us to be in contention in 2027.

FL doesn't have a stacked roster like LSU got through the portal. If we had that portal class I would say Sumrall should go 10-2.

7-5 and people would be slightly disappointed but not much. Most want an 8-4 season. We have O line issues apparently.
