This board is psychotic. Somehow Lane simultaneously should be held to the highest of standards yet he also sucks and Ole Miss has dodged a bullet by him leaving. This board also claims LSU should be ashamed if we miss the playoff, yet everyone here is predicting their teams to beat us. Pick a damn side!

Privately they will be massively pissed. The last coach was fired for not making the playoffs with a supremely talented roster

I'll remind you that you have only made 1 playoff ever as well, except it was a 12 team playoff and you were eliminated at home right out the gate without even scoring a TD. Your coach is a pissy lard arse with a similar personality to Brian Kelly.

Well my view is it would be an underperformance if he goes 9-3 and misses the playoff but not a huge deal. If LSU beats Ole Miss I would be really surprised if he missed the playoff.

We're not losing to Clemson.
If he doesn't make the playoff's it will get a little uncomfortable for him fair or not.

Our biggest issue is that we are putting a lot of guys who haven’t played together out on the field.
But Clemson sucks. They’re starting a new QB and they fired their OC for Chad Morris.
And we play Alabama, Tennessee and Texas in In November. We won’t be a new team who hasn’t played together 2 months into the season.
This whole thread seems to think that somehow spending money on good players and a good coach doesn’t work…

Most non LSU fans will be extremely happy if LSU misses the CFP.
However, LSU has a better shot that your gators.

Again, people are hanging onto the top talent we got in the portal, but 10+ wins requires depth and cohesion as a group. We have poor depth on defense and no cohesion yet on offense.
Kelly left us with some weak positional group rooms. Can't fix it all with portal and freshmen in year 1.

At least you acknowledge you have the same standards as A&M. You can’t ever say they are higher expectations that an A&M or Ole Miss.

Not to mention our QB didn't participate in spring practice. They still have to get the timing down and all that. shite, Burrow's first year at LSU had people on this board saying he sucked and he wasn't here for spring practice his first season at LSU.
