Most Auburn fans had Gus as a 3rd choice. When he was hired, I did not know many folks that were excited about a 1 year coach from Arkie State. After year one and the SEC championship, we ALL drank the kool aid.

Agree. We weren't very good last season and we lost every one of our scorers from that team without adding anyone who would take their place.
I think Ingram and Austin are going to be good players, but Coleman is a massive disappointment, Retin is a complimentary streaker, not a put the team on his back and score 25 type of guy, and everyone else is just a bunch of dudes.

I watched Avery Johnson coach for the Mavs. He's not a great coach. If he can recruit well enough to overcome his poor scheme/adjustments and it will not matter at all. But all the opinions thrown around about Avery being good or bad are just silly and typical fan reactions. The common one seems to be from the group that thinks they are smart and say things like, "Bama fans y'all got yourself a good one".

It's not like I expected him to go undefeated...Sure it's an ugly loss, but I'm happy to give him a pass this early into his first season. He didn't inherit much and for the first time in a long time there is some buzz about the program.
