To OU's credit, Williams had one leaving OU to USC. OU involved with a lot of Heisman material one way or another.

Transfer portal didn't exist when Mayfield and Murray transferred. They both had to sit out a year per the old rule. Both came to OU after their freshman season at Tech and A&M.
The transfer portal was implemented the year that Hurts came to OU (2019)... but he came as a grad transfer... which had been in place for a few years prior to 2019

Same with Burrow. Graduated with a finance degree from Ohio State, which allowed him to be immediately eligible after transferring. Also earned a Master’s from LSU while in Baton Rouge.

Today I learned Joe Burrow came from the transfer portal before it existed. Mother fricker is from the future!
