Well the 8th seed won the first 12 team playoff. And only 1 team from the top 4 seeds has ever made the final 4.

I’m a fan of this format. Keeps the SEC Championship and 4 SEC are automatically in, and there are 3 more wild card spots.

Auburn has had many "rivals", and playing each year has shifted with each expansion. The expansion of '92 created the LSU-Auburn rivalry. The same could be said for other SEC West teams - Ole Miss and Arkansas
Former Teams played yearly by Auburn:
Tennessee - 1956-1991
Florida - 1945-2002.
Miss State 1952-2023
Georgia Tech 1947-1987
LSU 1992 - 2023
*With this years schedule, Auburn renewed its rivalry game with Tenn, Florida, LSU, and Miss State.

Jacob Strand was getting dogged a ton playing LG at the beginning of this season. I think he had an excellent game at LT Saturday. Great in pass coverage and running to his side.
Saturday's OL:
LT - Strand
LG - Zierer
C - Best
RG - McManus
LG - Ramil
Strand has his guy on roller skates, Mabson great block, and WRs blocking. Brown had to make one miss and he did. Very great to see!

The NCAA didn’t change the rules. They made a 5 for 5 rule that was not supposed to be implemented until the 2027-2028 year. Then players sued for their 5th year(not LSU but layers originally). Then the “LSU Football players” didn’t make it on to an NFL squad and tried to join the team in week 0 of the football season.
The Auburn guy in the OP, enrolled at Auburn in June. I assume he doesn’t want the 5 for 5 rule to apply. So it is pretty much the exact opposite situation.
