Skinner and Strand went out on the same play. Leyrer and Ellis came in for the last 2 QB runs, which gained 7 and 11 yards for a TD. Both runs went to the left side where Leyrer was. I thought Skinner played well. I’m not sure Ellis had much impact on those runs.

The spread is crazy. 32.5 I think? As an Auburn, I don’t see Auburn covering that. I don’t keep up with Southern Miss, but surely they aren’t that bad.

The WRs from USF looked pretty good to me. Oline and QB play, not so much. I also thought the weakness on the Oline was Best(C) and Strand(LG). Skinner(RG) from USF looked to do well to me. But I'm no Oline expert.
I also thought the Oline looked better in the 2nd half. The last drive being the best drive all game. Which, in the past few years, the team could not figure out how to win close games.

That part wasn’t “lucky”. Baylor subbed so that gave Auburn a chance to sub. In the Instagram picture you saw, the ref is still standing over the ball. Auburn has the chance to sub. Baylor had to call timeout or they would have had a delay of game after our sub.

It was a very similar game to Bo Nix’s first game against Oregon in 2019. Nix went 13/31, 177 yds, 2TD, 2 Int.
And both led a gaming winning drive when they needed to.

Yeah. It’s a mess. People blame the NCAA, but their hands are always forced by lawyers and judges. NIL was forced in courts. Courts forced the transfer portal to how it is. Now they are forcing increased eligibility.
