Wasn’t a fan. But his teams were always dangerous and talented.

How did LSU fans view Lane Kiffin before he ever came to LSU?
They probably viewed him as a normal person.
Now that the rich Louisiana food has taken over, he's more likely to have one of those WIDE LOAD signs attached to him.
( iI kid, I kid ! )

I've noticed that nearly all LSU fans consider Kiffin to be an almost God like head coach, now that he's coaching LSU. Anyone who has anything even remotely negative to say about Kiffin, the LSU fans immediately shoot it down and come to his defense. So my question is, did all of you LSU fans jerk-off to Kiffin when he was coaching the Raiders, Tennessee, USC, FAU and Ole Miss or did this whole circle jerk begin once he stepped off the plane at LSU? Did any of you LSU fans ever say that Kiffin has only been good at 2 schools that had very little pressure to succeed; FAU and Ole Miss. And when he has been in high-pressure head coaching jobs, like the Raiders, Tennessee and USC, he has absolutely shite the bed and struggled in pressure jobs/situations. Not that I would say that LSU fans are two-faced hypocrites or anything, I was just wondering how you all felt about Lane before he ever flirted with the LSU job.
All this seems like the result of a melt, but I’ll play. I didn’t like how Lane left Tennessee. Not that I give two shits about Tennessee. It’s that he talked so much shite. Like when they beat Florida, they’d sing Rocky top all night long, and other bullshite like that. Now, his actually leaving for a “better” job, I had no problem with. I definitely respected his play calling at Alabama. He revolutionized their offense, at a time when most of SEC football was ground and pound. He turned Ole Miss into a respectable football power, but we’ll see how they maintain that power. I do think he’s weird, awkward, etc. Probably well on the spectrum. But I think as long as he doesn’t get complacent like our last two coaches, that he’ll do fine, here. Other than that, all the bullshite on this board is just whiny little girls that are either mad that he left them, or didn’t pick them. Time to man up and worry about your own teams.

I thought he was an absolute dickhead and hated him, but also felt like if he was my coach I would love all the trolling and shite talking.
I also thought he was overrated until this year. I thought they were going to just fall off a cliff.

I think the general view was he was a good coach but not a slam dunk, until he got Ole Miss setup for a deep playoff run last year. Timing can be everything for perception

I mentioned LSU was talking to him in 2021 before hiring Kelly and most LSU fans balked at the idea then, which was understandable. He was still viewed as kind of a wildcard.
