They aren't typical college transfers, they were not actively at an SEC school and transferring out. They are all eligible by TRO and if the NCAA had done their job they would have been eligible for the 5 for 5 during the transfer portal when they were free to go anywhere.
I hate all of this, not a fan at all, but the NCAA created this shitshow and you play within the rules that are available and I love having a coach that is always trying to make the team better. I also hope this rapidly brings the much needed changes to the NCAA shitshow.

-Texas brought back Cole Hutson, he went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft and participated in rookie minicamps with both the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys. A judge granted a temporary restraining order (TRO), paving the way for him to terminate his pro pursuit and rejoin head coach Steve Sarkisian's squad as a fifth-year senior for the 2026 season.
-Kentucky brought back former Wildcat linebacker Alex Afari Jr.. After going undrafted in the 2026 NFL draft, Afari attended the Green Bay Packers rookie minicamp. He rejoined the Wildcats for fall camp under a temporary ruling.
