Nothing but big cornfed women up there in Big 10 country. Ugly as all get out but they're good to birth about 6-10 kids.

An Applebees or an Olive Garden is considered fine dining in Columbus.
High dining in Lexington is cornbread and soup beans.

I went to the Texas/Ohio State game in 2005. I haven't been back to Columbus. A depressing place filled with hostile people. The only other college environment I have been to with girls that ugly was the University of Maryland.

Columbus is so bad that we took all your players and recruits that we wanted from you. They could not wait to leave the South for Columbus Ohio. Facts!

I’ve been to Columbus more than a couple of times. It’s not bad at all. Reminds me of a little Denver in a lot of ways.

Now you're just being fricking retarded. Columbus has an excellent dining scene. BTW, the shitty chili is from Cincinnati.

You can't try to insult someone and use a word like "hilljacks"...it feels like a retard is trying to insult me (and failing).

Here's a map of where Americans lack indoor plumbing

Ohio doesn't look much different than the SEC states (with the exception of Texas at the Mexico border).

Used to be ok....back in the 90s. Blows chunks now.
Nah, not even back then. When a company I worked for merged with a Columbus based company I interviewed for a job up there and turned it down when offered. Of course it was late January and cold and snowy as shite so that may have swayed my impression.

I don’t understand any appeal of living in the Midwest

1. Terrible food
2. Ugly women
3. Miserable cold in the winter
4. Terrible accents
5. Rural towns are completely rundown and full of meth/opiate addicts
6. Nothing exciting to do. No good music culture, no real history, not known for any significant party/nightlife scene

The only interesting city in the Midwest/upper Midwest with a significant cultural identity is Chicago with its food, music, nightlife, etc.

Looks like the concentration of significant numbers are Indian Reservations, Small Border Areas and Alaska.

Well when I moved up to the Chicago area 20 years ago, I traded likes and dislikes of South Louisiana for the likes and dislikes of Northern Illinois. The deer in my area are partially corn fed which makes for a great taste. Fishing the Great Lakes is fun and a challenge. Chicago and Milwaukee are good for the entertainment, concerts, sports. The drug problem is everywhere you go. Of course the winters up here suck. No way around that one. The closer you get to Chicago, the more keeping up with the Jonses and “look at me” you get. But again that’s any big city now. Madison Wi isn’t all that bad either minus it being a mini Berkeley. I’m not fond of Iowa or Iowans, Indiana is meh, Ohio is sad and depressing and Minnesota is passive aggressive land. Michigan minus Detroit and Ann Arbor is a decent place but economically depressed in many areas.
