They've been doing it since last years IB. It is what Bama fans do best.

I know what the purpose of the HUNH is
AU's defensive ineptness has nothing to do with how fast the AU offense runs a play, how quick they score or the defense being tired because of it. I believe it's because that's all the defense practices against. Gus wants his offense to be very proficient, so that takes practicing his offense against his #1 and #2 defense. And when that's what the defense has to practice against all the time and then has to play a team like Bama, Georgia or even TAMU, which is more of a passing spread attack unlike Gus's run oriented attack, the players get confused with other teams schemes. Just my theory. No other team run's Gus's offense. With that said, can Gus emulate another offense when his offense is all he and his players know?

hard to argue with any of that those guys are good defensive coordinators
if that shite happened to muschamp good luck finding any good dc's after that

Very interesting point you made and could definitely have some merit to it.

I appreciate that. When teams weren't limited by practice times and scholarship limitations a team could have pretty good athletes on practice squads to practice against. Not anymore and a coach kind of has to choose how much time to spend on what. I believe that's why Saban has such a hard time with Gus's offense. He only see's it once a year.

Better question is why do you care so much?

So, are yall saying Gus doesn't have a scout team? I'm pretty sure he does.

I agree with you looking at the big picture and that's why I'm not expecting to put up elite defensive numbers. In Johnson's case, Spurrier exposed a huge weakness in our secondary and specifically picking on the "star" position in pass coverage. Everyone after that hammered that weakness to death and there was no adjustment. I realize we had some injuries, but I'd like to know that our DC had the ability to adjust at least a little bit.

I'm pretty sure he does, but he is so locked in on his offense, can he or is he able to emulate another one? Or does he give his defense enough time to practice against another type of offense. I'm not saying this is anywhere correct, just a theory.

How do you watch that game and say he attempted to wear down Bama's defense? He never tried to pace it and threw downfield a ton.
Dude, if reality doesn't fit with their preconceptions, they go with their preconceptions.
Every. Damn. Time.

Finally, in this entire thread, an argument with some possible merit.
Though I don't think its fully caused by what you propose above... Auburn does use a scout team after all.
But it could definitely figure into the equation.

Me too. He's the one guy that causes the midget to lose sleep at night. Despite having 11 five star defensive players, he can't figure out a way to stop Auburn's offense. Gus has outcoached him now two years in a row. This year's game shouldn't have even been close.

Just stopping in to lol @ the Auburn fans doing their usual deflection job in this thread

3-8 in the Red Zone. Pretty shitty %. And we gave you three first half TO's. We could have had 28-35 points in the first half...you got your shite pushed in.

You won on a fluke last year, and our D ate your lunch this year.
Aubs need to step it up, Saban now has Gus's mojo. Too bad for you.

I'm glad you mentioned practice. I did it yesterday and they didn't like it.
