I started out my teaching career in 1st grade. That school used a phonics based program called DISTAR (Direct instructional system for teaching and remediation). It was very structured and the kids’ test scores in reading were through the roof. Then I moved to a different district which used the whole language approach. A colleague of mine swore that was the best method for teaching reading. I disagreed and we had many debates over the best way to teach reading to kids. Well, their test scores weren’t close to the district which used the DISTAR system. To this day, I still believe using a phonics based reading program is the best method for MOST students.

A helluva lot better off than we are now.

Well, the proof is in the pudding. He said he’d end the Ukraine vs. Russia war in 24 hours…nope. He said he’d cut mortgage rates in half, they’ve gone up. He said he’d lower gas prices…nope. He’d promised groceries would be cheaper, but they’ve also gone up. The only thing that’s gone down is my Roth IRA.

His rating is at a career low in the economy, and he scores low in foreign affairs, appointing the best people to office, providing leadership to the country, etc.

Just more empty campaign promises. At this rate he will probably go down as the worst president in history.

His own sister said she’s never seen him set foot in a church. It’s all for show and votes. How stupid can you be?

Maybe in 3-6 months they will look back on today’s post about tariffs and have that light bulb moment that Trump was right yet again. Just like any number of issues over the last 10 years that he has been proven Correct time and time again.

What’s crazy is that the tariffs are an unmitigated disaster and everyone in the world knows it except the Orange Buffoon and his cult followers. At least admit it when you are wrong.
