From what I hear the problem is that you aren't able to practice sound technique and reads against this type of offense, certainly not best on best.

I see you have done nothing but detract and deflect for seven pages again. You really bring a lot to the board

Whatever the reason, there is a strong correlation here and it isn't just limited to auburn and Gus.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a title at any cost. HUNH, dead T, whatever. But 2010 was an anomaly because you had a once in a decade player. Consistently teams with solid defense wins championships. Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas, USC, Ohio State, Miami, OU all the way back to 2000. All good to great defenses.
In the BCS era, here are the only games a BCS winner allowed more than 30 points in a season:
2013- FSU- 34
2010- Auburn- 43
2007- LSU- 43, 50
2005- Texas- 38
1999- FSU- 35
1998- Tenn- 33
That's only 7 games. Even the AU team in '10 only game up more than 30 once all season.
My only other question is why have no other HUNH teams been able to have success as far as winning titles? We have yet to see an example of HUNH team having a good defense. I don't think it's the DC.

Agreed. Auburn feasted on 3 pics. 10 meaningful points in the 2nd half. They did hit nearly every bomb they threw, though.

Damn, that escalated quickly. I thought we were being serious and shite? Was the questions to close to home? My apologies for being so insensitive. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

44 and 628 against a team LOADED with 5 star talent on defense. Considering the midget is a defensive coach and Gus is an offensive coach, this one was no contest. Gus absolutely and without a doubt outcoached him. I'm not talking about AU's defense against UA's offense and I'm not talking about recruiting. On the field with Gus running the offense, he beat the ever living crap out of what should be the best defense in the country. If putting up 44 points and 628 yards while playing AT Alabama isn't outcoaching your defensive minded head coach, then I'm at a loss for words. Yes, the Gumps won. With more talent than anyone in the country, and playing at home, it should have been no contest. Once again Lil Nicky has no answer for Gus's offense. No wonder he wanted the rules changed.

No, it isn't limited to auburn. My understanding - from what I've been told, I am not a coach or heavily involved to give me any special knowledge - it that practicing against this kind of offense really only allows you to get set up and getting checks and all the other pre-snap stuff down is very difficult. Gus was gifted incredible field position and momentum for an entire quarter. He still didn't get it in the end zone enough, and only scored 10 when it counted. Congrats on all of the yardage.

Players make plays. Our Cb's got beat just like yours did. Why is that a reflection of our HC and your DC? I guess that means that Jeremy Pruitt is that much better of a coach than Gus since Gus's offense only scored 7 POINTS against his D.

Let's help Gus find a QB for next year
LINK
Looks like it's the 56th player down. Chad Kelly. Offered by Indiana and Virginia Tech.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard as an excuse. I played college football, and the defense is not practicing against the #1 offense hardly at all. The scout team offense runs whatever system the opposing team does.

I know it doesn't fit your Gus hating agenda, but that's how 99% of college teams practice.

you think this thread is about a team's offense and defense practicing against each other?
