Maybe he knew the rule and decided to tip it in knowing it couldn’t be reviewed after the fact? If they wave it off it still goes to OT.

Look, I can see your point of view. But that obscure arse rule is either designed to give the refs the ability to use their judgement, or it needs to be re worded.

The pics clearly illustrate offensive goaltending by the letter of the rule. Would it be considered conclusive in a replay or would a replay official change the call. Your guess is as good as mine.
But it is reasonable to say that was offensive goaltending.
I also believe the UK player slapped the backboard. And maybe that should have been called also.
However at the end of the day LSU was the better team tonight and they deserved the win.
It’s gonna be a fun remainder to the regular season and the SEC tourney. It is great to have a team in the hunt again. Geaux Tigers !

Keep crying. The basketball Gods would have ensured an LSU win in OT anyway. Belles didn’t play well enough to win that at home. Sorry, sport

You don't believe that. You're just very mad right now.
Go finish up the cry and be back in time to see Duke win.

Everyone understands what “in the cylinder” means beside Dick Vitale.

What does “ring as its lower base” mean?

I mean, you’re talking about adopting Euro rules if you do remove the bit about the cylinder. It’s not something new and it’s been pretty well understood. You just don’t see it often in an end game situation and on offense.
If you look at it from the defensive end, the defensive player easily gets called with goaltending in the same situation. It just seems odd that it’s easier grasped/accepted in that situation.

No. You are collectively the dumbest fan base I’ve ever interacted with. I’m not mad about it. It’s simply impossible for a vast majority of your fans to introspect.

The rim. The rim is the bottom of an imaginary cylinder.

I believe he slapped the backboard while the ball was on flight. Not on the rim. Can’t remember exactly.

I'll need proof. Proof that LSU fans are the dumbest fans on the Internet. And proof that you're not a salty vagina right now. And possibly most of your waking hours.
In the words of PT board 808, link?
