Ah that goes back to the definition of cylinder.

Oh well, I’ll take it. They should change the review rule then it seems.

I agree. Pretty bang bang re watching it in real time. They should just change the review rule then.

None of this bickering matters. The rule actually spells it out for you and that ball was nowhere close to being able to go in. Suck it Big Blue.

quote:

When the ball contacts the backboard and any part of the ball is above the rim during a field goal attempt, it is considered to be on its downward flight. In such a case, it is goaltending when the ball is touched by a player as long as it has a possibility of entering the basket.

Yeah. Apparently that’s the explanation they gave Cal for not overturning it (at least that’s what I gathered from the post game).

For anything like that to not be reviewable when they’ll stop the game for an eternity to look at potential hooks, elbows, etc seems silly.

Per the rule any part of the ball that’s in the cyclinder is considered interference. The cylinder extends upward.

Are you saying it wasn’t in the cylinder?

Are you saying the second defender didn't slap the backboard during the shot??? Goaltending fella sorry!

Slapping the backboard in college isn’t automatic goaltending.

Slapping the backboard isn’t goal tending. All depends on where the ball is when that happens and in this case it wasn’t effected.

My understanding is that it’s in attempt to vibrate the backboard or something. Meaning it’s mesnt to affect the ball going in.

It's amazing how much fans of a basketball school don't know the rules of basketball.

Yall keep trying to say UKs play was clean and LSU's was not.

I'll be over here fist pumping and figuring out how many times Cal has lost at home when his team is ranked 5 or better.

Help me if you know.

Y’all act like y’all aren’t still talking about that pass interference.

Pretty sure this discussion is just that. But thanks for your concern.

If you think this compares at all, you've only secured the Kentucky stereotype.

fricking drama queen. Change your pad.
