Per the rule any part of the ball that’s in the cyclinder is considered interference. The cylinder extends upward.

Are you saying it wasn’t in the cylinder?

They need to see the still shots then. That’s not in the cylinder.

Should’ve gotten the one we saw when it first went to review. When the camera was above the basket. I was convinced it was goaltending until I saw that angle.

In literally all of those still shots the ball is clearly not in the cylinder. I feel like Im taking crazy pills??

Hmmmm...I wonder if there could possibly be an issue with the perspective of these particular shots.

It is. But in practice, the rule is more of a judgment call and the refs will typically allow plays like that to go on even if it violates the actual text of the rule. Kinda like pass interference

that is the angle that pretty much confirmed offensive goaltending.
