Really?

Signed 20 in 2018

Signed 24 in 2019

And several of those have left. I guess LSU fans have already adopted the woke theories of their new president and decided they don't have to actually get math answers correct as long as the answer they get feels right to them.

My favorite quote from that year is from the DE John Copeland. “I looked across the line right into Gino Torretta’s eyes and I saw fear.”

I guess as long as you get to celebrate your championships through known cheating is the moral compass you follow.

PERHAPS Henry will get to smoke a cigar as Butch did if Bama can defeat the Vols this season.

Truth is Pruitt and the Vols stole him from The King 2 years back and now Bama is stealing him back.

As long as he will shoot the right gaps and stop the run it’s good enough for me. Moses didn’t do any of that shite

Bama pwns - d should be legit this year, offense will take a step back but be quite good 2nd half of the year.

Another title is imminent.

Please explain to the group how they do it then? Obviously it’s somehow within the rules but no one else consistently signs 27+ Recruits per year. If they back count then it has to catch up with you at some point. Bama hasn’t signed under 25 players in the last 4-5 classes.

I'm not an expert on the rules, but I know there are things that can open spots like kids who leave early and so on.

But anyone who thinks Saban is just going to break the rules like this must not pay much attention to the man.

Yes they do. It doesn't matter though when Bama is involved. They get away with it. Is what it is.

Aren’t the numbers on a team or in a class out there for anyone, including the NCAA, to count? So Alabama knows everyone can count the numbers, but yet they are just cheating and adding more players than they can have on the team?

Could be three loss team... Defense should be excellent, but paired with very inexperienced offense. I'm not confident in QB play cinq'ed with offense pro-style coaching, ala 2018. Games I'm most concerned about... Georgia, Mississippi, A&M.

The running back rotation and experience returning on the OLine will give Young plenty of breathing room to settle in. Add in the defense potentially being the best 'Bama's had in 5 years, and I'm not sure how you can predict 3 losses or believe there will be some kind of meltdown on offense.

Except we were discussing Saban era. I agree with you though.

Tailback depth? Yes!

OL experience? I dunno…2 guys with starting experience returning. I expect them to be good but will they be good enough is the question.

Yes. On signing day this is the number Alabama has ended with.

247 sports

Bama’s classes:
2016: 25
2017: 29
2018: 22
2019: 27
2020: 25
2021: 27

OLine, RB and WR are probably the most stacked positions on the team. The talent is there, and having an ex-NFL head coach focusing on one position group should be a huge plus. Also don't see any opponents early on in the season (UM, Ole Miss) who can just push these guys around before they have a chance to gel. Not worried about the OLine unless they stink it up in the latter half of the year.

Yeah, Alabama has had some weaker OL units that they’ve done a good job of masking the deficiencies with play calling. I might get hate for this but I think 2015 OL - that won the Joe Moore award - was probably in the lower third of OLs in the Saban era. They could not pass protect worth a shite on the right side of the line. But they were a damn good run blocking OL.
