So much deflection in here. Sounds awful familiar.

The stupidity of this coach astounds me.

Well, if they reported it after finding out, hopefully things won't get too far out of hand.

Has anyone actually read the article? It was less than $500. Is that not less than what others have received, repaid, and gotten 2 or so games suspension for?
As hard as it is for me to admit this, Stewart Mandel is looking at this the same way I am, saying the amount is not the issue, having a runner on staff is.

nick saban cant control his coaches, players and boosters anymore. Its time to ride out to austin and continue building on his legacy

LSU barely got a slap a on the wrist for having an asst coach PAY THE RENT FOR A JUCO TRANSFER! Why should Bama expect any more?

They will forfeit games if they are still during the current season.
The NCAA doesn't use the forfeiting of games anymore. They vacate them. Regardless, you should read the article before jumping to conclusions.

Nope, If he had not paid the money back before the games had been played then that might be the case. But since it was paid back before the season he was not ineligible for those games.
um no, that's not what the rule says at all. it certainly might help when the NCAA decides how to rule, but technically he was ineligible he moment he accepted the "loan" from the coach. if he wasn't ineligible, Alabama wouldn't be suspending him right now

compared to JFFS 5 figure amount ?
The only difference between Bama and TAMU & Auburn is Alabama reports their infractions and TAMU , Auburn and others try to cover them up with lawyers.

if it happens during season its forfeited and a&m would get the win. if it is uncovered after the season like bookgate then its vacated.
Apparently this happened during the summer. The money was given to Clinton-Dix in the summer and it was paid back during the summer.
So...he wouldn't have been ineligible for the A&M game. Sorry.

LSU never played an ineligible player, which it appears Bama has done.
The infraction is certainly minor, but that doesnt change that he was an ineligible player.
