They are adults at 18 so they signed they can be responsible.
It's 19 in Alabama.
Players under 19 have to have their contracts signed through their parents or legal guardians.
Seems all this should be handled through contract language and the school/team would have no role in how it's handled.

I think it's been called fairly even. They're letting them play for the most part. I just hate it when a team knows a player s playing with an injury and they target that injury.

Just logging in so this was probably discussed. They're pulling on Broome's right arm a lot.

Score more points. Seriously though, limit Clayton and take away his ability to distribute the rock. Free up Broome from Condon.

I rewatched the ending of the game and when Broome hit the 3 pointer it was reminiscent of The Natural when Roy Hobbs hits the homer to win the pennant.

This team seems to have woken up starting at 10 minutes to go against Michigan. :dude:

Why doesn’t Bruce let the C-teamers come in for the last minute
Don't ever forget that Auburn was up by 3 points over Virginia in the Final Four with .17 seconds left. Points in basketball can be erased quick.

Denver Jones sparked the turn around with his back to back 3's and a couple aggressive drives early on during the big run.
He gets a game ball!

That was an ugly half of basketball.

I'm on board with that. I just can't accept the way CBM loses his head. Sure worse intentional/flagrant fouls happen without the F2 but that's the same in all of life. I remember I got a speeding ticket a couple decades ago, I was pissed that the car that had passed me a few minutes earlier hadn't gotten a ticket. :-D

Yeah it kinda is. From an early age boys and girls are taught to swing their elbows side to side
True kids are taught that however swinging elbow violations exist. Generally the rule at most all levels is it its illegal to excessively swing the elbows when in close distance to opposing players. This is the rule whether there is contact or no contact.
But lets be honest here, clearing out is not what we're talking about in this instance. We're talking about intentional acts of throwing elbows that have nothing to do with basketball play.

Yea elbows are part of basketball,
Throwing intentional elbows is not part of the game. And I don't know how anyone can watch that and not see it was an intentional elbow.

Bottom line is both were plays that have nothing to do with basketball. The players know the game of today and should know better. These players weren't even around back in the wild wild west of basketball days.
No one seems to know this routine better than CBM

he is never getting the benefit of the doubt in those situations
Both the Yale elbow and the one today were obvious intentional acts, benefit of the doubt wasn't needed. He does have a deserved target on him though, which compounds the stupidity of his actions. All these players know the refs are going to video replay on just about all instances of potential flagrant fouls.

Love Bruce but not a fan of how those two guys have been handled
I too have wanted to see Howard get more playing time. Especially in some of those games where we weren't in any real danger of losing.

It's bs how quickly Howard got blackballed
I agree CBM is far more destructive to the team with his antics but CBM is a much better baller to this point than Howard is. Howard is raw and needs a lot of development, hopefully he'll get the opportunity.
