There was a very popular love song in the early 90s that started off “She’s just sixteen years old…” and another titled “Seventeen” and “she’s only 17…”

Songs have always been that way, because many times they were written for teenagers.
Back in the day, monks set themselves on fire for peace. Sad to see them go soft.

I have seen a recent trend of people complaining about the alternate future version of Mary and how silly it was that George lost his mind seeing her as a librarian.

You're right, George lost his mind because Mary didn't know him, not because she wound up a librarian.

It is a bit funny that they show her winding up a spinster, though. Even with the glasses and unmade hair, she was the best looking woman in Pottersville. I wish they had more time to go into why she never married. Some scene that shows that she's unhappy because she never found her soul mate.

I always thought the Pottersville part of the movie was too short and felt rushed. I've also wondered if it would be better for Clarence to show George these things as a ghost, invisible to the townspeople. That would probably be too similar to a Christmas Carol, though.

Had something similar in Chattanooga. Cool experience.

Bea's. It has been a few years, but it was great the last time I was there. Crazy crowds on Sunday.
Most of the playoff teams would rather play in the Pop Tart Bowl, according to my sources.

I dont know why dogs run to the doorbell. It's almost never for them.
Lower tier bowls are usually the bteer ones. The teams generally are happy to be there and try to get one last win for their teams.

It's usually the schools that think they're too good for whatever bowl they're in that treat it like a scrimmage and make it a bore to watch.
He went out of his way to taunt Potter. If it had been his own money, it would have been justice that he lost it.
I think Spielberg later said he regretted the way the character was handled. The focus was on making him driven and obsessed, but it also made him pretty unlikeable.

Don't let nostalgia fool you into thinking that the game is actually fun by today's standards.

The idea of it was probably better than the actual toy. It was great having miniature figures that moved on a little football field. I spent hours coming up with leagues and schedules, only to watch them go in circles when I actually played.
Yes, they may have to deal with a little rust.

But it is still better to get the bye and not risk elimination playing en extra game.
Orcs were bred to be soldiers. They served the Dark Lord, but when we get to see their perspective - the orcs Sam fools in the tower and the those that capture Merry and Pippen - we see that they serve more out of fear than allegiance to his evil philosophy.

Tolkien never writes of any good orcs, though there were evil men, dwarves, and elves. I don't even think orcs could survive Sauron's defeat. I belive they died out soon afterward.

The big difference between car accidents and plane accidents is that you read about all of the plane accidents.

If you have electrical or fuel issues while driving a car, you're stuck on the side of the road.
In the four team era, the regular season was still very important, as even 1 loss might keep you out.

Also, CCGs were games that propelled the winner into the playoff, as opposed to an obstacle for teams already in.

It was near perfect, so of course they changed it.

Sucks they have to work the 25th, though.
4 team playoff was the sweet spot, imo.
