I used to believe there was a good-faith "attempt" to follow rules at UA, but at this point I'm convinced they just don't give a shite. It's something all the time over there.

This doesn't prove one way or the other that Bama is trying to cheat.

This isn't the "bring Bama down" moment that some of you seem to think/want it to be.

5 or 6 years ago it would have been. Not anymore.

It really is a joke how much college athletics have become. Every team does it, but it is kinda embarrassing

Really? Seems like UA is handling appropriately right now. Suspend asst strength coach and player, investigate, and cooperate with NCAA.

If true that amount was less than $500 and HaHa repaid, then you're likely looking at a suspension without pay for the asst strength coach and a 2 game suspension for HCD.

This isn't the "bring Bama down" moment that some of you seem to think/want it to be.

But if you add this to the Fluker situation it seems like Alabama is slowly wading in to Lack of Instiutional Control territory

For self-reporting? You're an idiot.

So all the "in the know" crowd here were clueless.

Aren't they ALWAYS?

I'm sure that I have NEVER seen an "inside source" poster be accurate.

Harris made a short-term loan to Clinton-Dix in an amount less than $500 at some point in the summer, an apparently violation of NCAA Bylaw 16.11.2.2, which states that “an institutional employee or representative of the institution's athletics interests may not provide a student-athlete with extra benefits or services, including, but not limited to ... a loan of money.”

Clinton-Dix has provided bank records to UA athletic compliance department representatives that show a withdrawal in the amount he said he repaid to Harris, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.

UA's internal investigation has found no indication that Clinton-Dix has had contact with any agent or agent representative.

That will most likely be what happens

doubtful Dix is gone. coach is definitely gone.

Agree, but it looks more like an incompetence thing than anything else.

Unless you subscribe to the opinion that Nick Saban controls every aspect of the program down to how many ply the toilet paper is.

So Saban to Texas is looking pretty good right about now amirite?

How they couldn't cover a $500 "loan" is pretty retarded.

Not to make a mole hill out of a mountain, but the investigation says he didn't have contact with an agent. That received less than 500 dollars and provided bank records to support it.
I thought I also heard that Ha Ha had already paid it back. Am I wrong?

LSU would know about assistants provided stuff like that. Tell us about it.

well difference being coach was fired and the player never played a down of football for lsu. kind of a significant detail. lsu never played an ineligible player
