1998 College World Series - LSU seemed prime to 3 peat. They hit 8 home runs in game 1 and another 6 in game 2
That year was peak gorilla ball.
The championship game had USC beating AZ State to the tune of 21 to 14. USC's last title and they haven't been back to Omaha since 2001.

Tre Mason had that Amazing TD run in the NCG where he ran 2 guys over for the go ahead TD with like 1 min left and Barn still lost

Yep. Knew we'd lost as soon as he scored.

Soon as he scored, I looked at the clock and knew there was too much time left. Our defense had no shot at stopping Winston and Benjamin.

A final, crazy, improbable moment like that for all the marbles against your biggest rival (who are on their way to a threepeat without Auburn's miracle) can't ever be diminished. Just an awesome moment that should live forever.
It also was to win the toughest division in college football and go to Atlanta.

An overlooked one was 2007 against LSU. Saban’s first year, obviously his worst team at bama against the eventual National champions.
Arenas returns a punt for a TD with 7 minutes left in the game to give Bama a TD lead. LSU ties the game with around two minutes left, and then JPW fumbles inside the 10 yard line and LSU scores with a minute left in the game to win.
2008, 1/9, 2012, 2014 were payback for this

2013 Auburn when Aaron Murray scored 3 TDs in 8 minutes
He fricking killed us in the 2nd half.
That was the first moment that came to my mind. Murray deserved a better fate.
Still pissed at tray matthews

Alec Ogletree blocked field goal put UGA in the lead in the SECCG in 2012 against Bama.
UGA was outmatched that game. But that blocked field goal put us in the improbable position to win as time was dwindling down.

It actually put you up 11 points I believe. It was like halfway through the 3rd quarter. Then the next drive Saban told Nussmeier he could run the ball or be prepared to remove a boot from his arse and we kind of ran at will from that point forward.

and the famous strip did not even count because Bama was offsides on the play and Miami retained possession after the 5 yard penal was marked off.

I didn’t think it was so great. I single-handedly polished off a bottle of Blantons during and immediately after the game.

Jonathan Williams had 2 really nice long TDs as a freshman against Kentucky.
Nobody remembers because it was the John L Smith season.

Bobby Thigpen hit a grand slam to give us a 4-3 lead against Miami in the 1985 College World Series. Then he turned around a gave up a 2 run Walk Off HR and we lost the game and knocked us out of the CWS. That year we had the best team in the nation but finished third in Omaha.

I actually got optimistic. Hugged my wife in the endzone stands and told her that we had just witnessed our second national championship for Auburn in person
Then the missed tackle/Penalty happened

Not an offensive play, but Davin Bellamy sacking Tua to make it 2nd and 26 in OT was a moment I thought sealed Bama's fate. Absolutely knew we would win in that moment only to be crushed just a few seconds later.
