Screw the NCAA and ESPN for being incompetent bitches.

You just gave UNC more pitching rest, made the loser have to play the next day while Oregon State gets two days or rest, and caused fans like me who went to Omaha have to go home tomorrow because we planned on watching State Tonight.

Now I won't even be able to watch it because I'll be driving back. frick you NCAA and ecspecially ESPN.
This makes me happy. Don't get me wrong, if Ole Miss was in your situation I'd be mad too. But anything that screws State over and keeps them from a national title is ok with me

It completely screwed me out of 500 dollars and a chance for my dad to see two games while in Omaha.

That's freaking horrible

But you have to know that’s always a possibility, right? It sucks. The CWS is not a fan friendly travel event. . I’ve thought about it, but the only way I’d go as a full time working person would for the championship series. If I were retired and had two weeks to spend in Nebraska maybe,

It is unfortunate. Headed south now.
Lots of disappointed state fans along the way.

Is what it is.

No doubt.

It was just how they handled it that frustrated me.

Not moving games up. Not announcing the delay. Not following their own set standard.

Yes, a 10 AM game will have a ridiculously higher amount of viewers than a game that starts at 11 PM

just no

Neither the unemployed nor stay-at-home housewives will be tuning in to the CWS.

Just screw over the winners bracket teams by making the loser play on no rest while the team they play has a day. Granted if State wins tomorrow none of this matters.

How did the weather play out for the rest of the night in Omaha? Like I posted last night, the radar was showing more coming in about 10:30 and extending into the early morning. I’d rather go with the early start than have us waste a starter and 2 innings out of him and the game get delayed again.

Also, lookin like tomorrow may be completely washed out, so a chance things slide again, so the loser may end up with a days rest anyway. Hopefully that’s not us of course.

That’s exactly why I only stayed for one. Looked at the weather ahead of time and you could tell this was definitely possible. The only way to be sure you don’t have weather issues is put it in a dome, which would be awful. It’s summer and it’s baseball. You can pretty much plan this will happen over the course of a couple of weeks. Seems like the current scheduling format does pretty good at making allowances for it.

That being said, had I stuck around an extra couple of days and had tickets in my hand, of course I would be ticked off.

I'd be pissed too if I were up there for the game, however let's be honest. Most of you would be even more pissed if they started that game and it's get's canceled/delayed and you burn starting pitching that ends up costing you the game.

I wasn't following the weather closely and I won't say the NCAA did the right thing, but yall are probably better off playing early game today.

No way they'll get 3 games in today looking at the hourly forecast.

If they're lucky, State and UNC will finish.

If all 18k State students watch the game it’s not going to move the needle.

Good luck today.

Or how about one eyed truck drivers named Lucy?

Neither is a very big or desirable demographic for ESPN, this is even futher compounded by the fact that outside of a very few schools most students DGAF about the CWS.

I wish the CWS format would change
By the time you get to the championship round, everyone has burned through pitching, top picks are not gonna risk their professional career.
You want best vs best that last 3 game series, the problem is that's not how it ends up.

This is the first year in a long time where weather has had an impact.
