One has to think that the cost of the new stadium may be skewing state’s numbers. I had read somewhere 3-4 years ago fear State was top 5 in baseball revenue. The only factors since then that could have an effect on the bottom line is covid and the new stadium.
Now that we are off the snide can we drop the kindergartenesque Moo U?

Im happy for msu. I have lived in ms my entire life.. their fans needed a national title. Baseball is important to their fans. But outside of a couple schools, no one really cares about baseball. Not a shot at msu's title, but it will never be close to football or basketball.
Hopefully that’s the case and very few people noticed that y’all went 2 & Q. The highlight and the only thing of note that has occurred in the last 20+ years is y’all firing a coach before his first practice due to Twitter. Not practice, we talking bout Twitter. Twitter, not practice, Twitter.**

Vandy has 8 hits in 18 innings of the CWS finals

Mississippi has the largest percentage of black citizens than any state in the Union. Funny that MS doesn’t have near the bad race relations that plague most blue states.

It did not happen
“ Clinton Yates, the journalist who broke the story was just interviewed on Finebaum. Complete made up BS. No one was even removed from the stadium. Also, Tracy Rocker is one of the black parents. I dont think he needs Yates to protect him every couple of innings. In fact, right now he is back tracking on Twitter with the "Mississippi State fans want to meet Kumar Rocker"
Yates stated:
1. He regularly covers Vanderbilt's baseball team and, at every game, "he goes to check on the Vandy parents because they have 8 minority players on their team, and, as a black man, he wants to make sure they're okay."
2. Before the game, he went to "check on" the Vandy parents. He could "immediately see that it was a very hostile environment because they were outnumbered by MS State fans." There was "a lot of chirping coming from MS State fans to the Vandy parents." Yates stated that he "could tell that the environment could easily escalate into something dangerous for the Vandy parents." Yates leaves the Vandy section and goes back to his seat.
3. Yates stated that he returned to the Vandy section in the second inning (obviously after Vandy scored 7 runs). Yates said at this point, he heard MS State fans saying "completely inappropriate things" and "vitriol" at the Vandy parents. Asked to give an example, Yates said MS State fans were yelling at Vandy parents that their "kids should earn their scholarships like every other team." Yates goes back to his seat and does not return during the game.
4. After the game, so-and-so said to Yates, did you hear what happened? Yates asked what. The guy apparently told Yates that a bunch of MS State fans called the Vandy parents the N-word. Yates said, you mean the fans in [Section __]? "Yes, those fans."
Finebaum then asked Yates if any fans were kicked out of the stadium. Yates said no, but some were "moved around." Yates said that "this isn't the time for me to give you specifics as to what happened. But it happened. There is no reason to believe that it didn't happen based on the environment that I saw."

re: If Vandy wins

What is crazy is had NC State won that game vs Vandy, then tonight’s game would have probably been for all the marbles.
re: Who does State want?
Posted by PineGroveBully on 6/25/21 at 12:39 am
Ole Miss if they were here, but since they’re around I’d prefer UVA

I have it on good authority that Lemonis answered the call, said, “who dis?” then hung up.

This will be nightmare for me. I purchased a flight to Omaha right after the Virginia win to watch us in the potential championship. The only one I could find to fit my schedule has me in a layover from 6-9 in Dallas on Saturday. It's one of the biggest gamble's of my life, but I couldn't miss a potential Championship series. Praying to all things Holy that we win Friday, cause I don't know if I can handle watching us get eliminated in the airport right before I would board to go to Omaha
At least this way if you break the TV it’s not yours

And Baton Rogue has about 100k more people than Starkville as well.

You do realize that State is not sitting in cities of over 100k like most of the league don’t you?

I still think it’s likely we beat another team that we probably should and is likely to lose to a team we probably shouldn’t

LSU could have won that game and were in it until that last score with 3 mins left. You don't rank LSU in the bottom half of the SEC when a few bounces of the ball would have them at #2 behind Bama.
It took 4 state turnovers including a pick6 for y’all to stay within 10 points of us.

HUGE day for State...happy for them. Lots of reasons to be the most exciting season for them in a long, long time
Oh and you can keep your backhanded compliment, 2014 when we kicked yalls arse and were #1 for 5 weeks was not a long, long time ago.
Do y’all realize that we have won 2 of the last 4 in DV and 3 of the last 7 overall.
