It needs new irrigation, new cart paths, new bulk heads and bridges in spots, new traps, and new greens.
18 needs a decision. Make a par 4 or do some serious work to tame the creek when it gets high to not wipe out the green if a par 5
The original 419 bermuda fairways could be salvaged with 12 months and playable. The holes that people cut have good bermuda.
The longer it sits the more money will be needed for club house remediation and other buildings
My guess is whoever buys it will need to spend 15M to bring it back.
It could be brought back in sub par conditions with fixing irrigation, cutting, new greens . And fixing the bridges etc. Probably still 4M

Yes. Number 9 or 18 depending on when you played it. That was an awesome hole.

Poor management and went upside down and got sold off
Current owner is original developer. He wants to make it a resort and build out his original dream. He doesnt have the funding or the time left in age.
My guess is it will be stagnant and overgrown until he loses it. Heard there were others out there that want to revive it.

They dont need to get interest up. They dont want an overplayed golf course and currently over 400 members. There isnt a demand issue right now.

Its really frustrating because they had just started turning the corner back to old days.
Now the new traps have weeds and the new greens need addressed soon before they get destroyed.
Also enjoyed getting the greenside sprinklers turned on while im putting the last 2 rounds.

Also wanted to add i hope they have a club championship this year when it opens.
I know several members and there will be some absolute studs playing regularly there.

I heard the same thing. Owner put up a chunk into annuity that essentially keeps the place open and to the standard he is setting.
Membership and public play (if that ever happens) is cherry on top

Coppermill in the most coppermill fashion has crabgrass getting un their green they need to address quickly and completely stopped watering the fairways.
All after raising their rates after seeing increased play. Incredible
The bluffs woukd be killing it right now. Stupid

The pink smart weed is great natural food. You can fertilize it and it'll run strong
Duck potato hasn't been a huge draw on my place for ducks. I usually kill it and plant rice.
You can mow down both right before flooding which has benefits vs planting.
Its also not too late to mow and disk a section and spray 24d. Get moist soil grasses like sprangle top and barnyard millet to come up. Fertilize that when it is coming up decent and it'll be carpet thick

Its a pretty factual statement for all boomers. Not just men
They felt guilty for mistreating the blacks when they were young so they jumped on these policies to feel better while destroying opportunities for their kids.
And then lectured us all about it.

Up north you almost always get paired with others to make larger groups.
Not sure why the south cant figure that out. Another issue though is the reservation of tee times for 4 and 1 person shows up.
As for as BC goes, there is a notorious group of walkers that play a 5some every weekend at about a 5hr pace and screw the course up the rest of the day

I think they are close to capped out on members.
Its a shame bluffs isnt open. Imagine a bluffs and false river partnership. 2 awesome courses with completely different set ups part of same package

Tee shots on most holes need to be straight. Short and straight is way better than long and erratic
Given how dry its been, 16 will roll you out into OB. Just know you'll have a long iron and be ok with surviving the hole.
6 is OB left. I got to where I just wanted 200 yds off the tee.
9 you can play way left and go over the trees back to the green if you have that high iron.
18 if you stay water side just get committed to going for two
Greens roll true. Very fast down grain. They will be shiny.

The whole area is thick tall grass. He lines his shot up and steps wide and around to avoid causing the ball to wobble in that tall shite
He didnt walk back and forth 15x to trample the area and he steps on rootball
