It's funny how things go.
I contend that Herman would have also won the 2019 national championship if he had come to LSU instead of bolting for Texas. He recruited Burrow to Ohio State and would have gotten him to BR just like Ogre did.
Would be interesting to see the alternate universe path for that and how it would have played out today for him, Ogre, Kiffin, Kelly, etc.

Tom wasn't a terrible coach his personal life was just chaotic and it got in the way. (the stories lol).
He could usually get us ready to play big games then we'd lose to Kansas. Very inconsistent.
If he's matured he could be a pretty good coach.

You being Texas, plucked a successful coach from a lower level Texas school, because that’s what you do. Hire drunks and peasants, and mounted him next to Wac Brown before he coached at all.
You were hoping just like Mac - he would bring you one title in at lease 17 years. Because that’s what Mac did and you love the guy, pray to him like Auggie does to the fat man Buddha .
Mac is the exact same as Jimbo fisher.
It took a half retarded, “other color” qb, in the final seconds of a football game to win one title in their entire career.
He is a good coach. But Texas is just a mediocre program. Nobody ever does less with more.

Tom Herman was a douche bag. Very intelligent just not a very good coach. Here is a video of him on the sidelines on national tv mocking a player on another team.
