They do. But it doesn't sound like they wanted to get into a bidding war for Kirk Cameron.

This current model’s not sustainable though. Things have already started to go off the grid and it’s only going to get worst. I just don’t understand how college football as we know it survives. There will be massive changes over the next decade in this sport we all love. It’s kind of sad.

I guess it will be like LSU where we will go all out for certain recruits that we want really bad.

the money is there. having the permission to release is a-whole-nother story:

i'm gonna copy/paste this post from 247:

I've seen a few folks mention that they think "UF is poor" which is why we're losing NIL.

UF isn't poor. We have arguably a Top 3 program in terms of Booster donations. And we've got a Top 8 program in overall Athletic Dept revenue. UF should be thriving in the NIL era.

Twitter Thread/TLDR

https://twitter.com/JBudDavis/status/1540346470691389440?s=20&t=223opiQYb0vyRvcVYyBoHg

Below are two charts that look at the Top 15 programs in 2020 Booster Contributions

First viz shows Booster Donation in time. We can see that since 2005, UF has been a consistent top program in Booster Donations to UF Athletics.

This second graph shows a Box and Whisker plot of where UF's Boosters annual giving has ranked. In 2020, we were #3 in the nation in Booster Donations. In term of consistent high level giving, Texas is really the only program comparable to UF.

Now, not all programs generate their revenue through Booster donations. Programs like Alabama tend to fund their Athletic Departments through Booster Money funneled through Endowment programs. This type of funding will be harder to redirect in the NIL-era. Nevertheless, it's still important to look at Total Athletic Dept revenue, and not just Booster donations to get an idea of how UF stacks up compared to other programs financially.

Looking at total Athletic Dept revenue, we can see that UF is consistently near the top and is probably a Top 8 program in overall finances.

I won't speculate on what's wrong with UF's recruiting. But I can say that:
-The problem is NOT that UF doesn't have a wealthy booster base
-The problem is NOT that the boosters aren't generous towards UF athletics
-The problem is NOT that our Athletic Dept is poor

Some UF fans seem to think the Gators won't survive the NIL era because UF isn't as rich as other programs. Here is why that is wrong

TLDR:
??UF is easily Top 5 in Booster $$$
??UF Top 8 in Ath Dept Revenue
??$$$ shouldn't be an issue for UF NIL
??Boosters must get organized

Where are those figures coming from?
Even Miami fans said Reshada "only" got $5 million to go there.
And here's THE booster for Miami saying this guy is full of shite: LINK =

Florida may need to step it up in regards to NIL but they dodged a bullet with this kid and his dad it seems.

Easy for you to say. UGA is sitting pretty at #7 in recruiting for June.

Steering all his clients etc does he think he’s a agent lol…. His si gojng tie broke badly for some school. OU isn’t even bribing up Nil much anymore after Oregon boosters stole 3 of our recruits . We will win with 4 stars and some 3s

How did your baseball team do against Ole Miss? Ole Miss was the last picked and you only beat Texas A&M because Texas A&M hasn't won any of the big 3 in Sports since 1939! Sad you got an easy win against Texas A&M and then got beaten by one of the last team to get picked to the CWS!

To be honest this is completely killing my interest in college football. Rashada and his people sound like a bunch of entitled bitches.

This is regarding quarterback Jaden Reshada turning down $11M from Florida to go to Miami for $9.5M

I don't buy those numbers at all.

Taysom Hill makes $12M a year. He is the highest paid

Foles makes $8M

My god what have we done. Even the nfl has rules and they enforce them. This is straight up admitting to bidding on players that aren’t currently enrolled.
