Florida Auburn is the renewal of an old rivalry.

Some great football played between these two in the 80s and 90s. Glad to see it played.

Will always remember Florida's QB Kerwin Bell with a leg injury hobbling somehow to the winning 2 pt conversion to knock off unbeaten Auburn in late October 1986.

80s had some gigantic games. Kerwin Bell, Bo Jackson, etc... Auburn had Amen corner when they played Florida Georgia and Alabama back to back

Yep that was a really big game for Florida when I was much younger. Just below the Georgia and FSU games. Auburn has had our number quite a bit in the road games also. Spurrier and Meyer went in there with #1, #2 and # 4 ranked teams and lost to a much lower ranked Auburn team.

Speaking for Kerwin Bell, he had winning teams at JU, and he won a national championship at Valdosta State, but he has oddly not been able to parlay that into a “big time” job. He’s languishing at Western Carolina.

As difficult as the Barners' schedule has been, they just stopped the Florida and Tennessee rivalry. I'm telling you, newbies, the barners were all that once upon a time.

Between 1927-2002, this game was played yearly, except 1941 and 1943(WW2). This is only the 5th game since 2002. Kinda sad what became of this rivalry.

I go back a way and this was once a big time rivalry. Florida could not win at Auburn for forever.
Over time some very good Florida teams went into Auburn and came out with a loss.

First time we’ve played them in Jordan-Hare in 15 years. Pretty crazy.
They were big rivals when we were in school. Bama, UGA, UF, Tennessee in that order. LSU didn’t really come on as a rival until after the division split in the early 90s.
We play all of them this year, which is nice for a change, even though we may lose all of them

One of my favorites when Urban tried the ice our kicker, and he stuck it in the Gators’ arse a second time and broke it off.
Tubs went in there with a bunch of freshmen OL. Those freshmen linemen in that game made for the senior OL when we won the natty in 2010.

I still think the blocked kick and Tre Smiths TD recovery was the single loudest moment I recall in my years of going to Auburn games. Might not be but sure feels that way.

Was in school in the early 90s and the 93 & 94 games were two great games won by Auburn. Man do I miss Jim Fyffe our old radio guy....

I remember Emmitt with a towel on his head to cover up his emotions after Auburn orchestrated a last second victory at Jordan Hare.

Loudest I ever heard Jordan-Hare was the Florida game in 1993. Florida was up two scores, either 10-0 or 14-0, can't remember, but they are on like our 10-yard line and about to go up 3 scores. Did not look good and we had not played well at all to that point. Calvin Jackson jumps a pass from Wuerffel at the 4 yard line and goes the other way for a TD. That whole run back the crowd was just absolutely deafening. The noise went from 0-100 real damn quick. And then things changed and we ended up winning the game on the way to 11-0. Good times.
