Surprised at how actually funny this show is. The dichotomy between that and the creepiness is amazing..

Who are the really big guys in the silver armor? I don't recall them from reading this in middle school.

There was an episode of ER- a young patient needed a new heart- her father was working 20 hours a day to afford treatments for her. I want to say he was a security guard? A last ditch effort to get her a new heart fell through, and he made them guarantee that she would get HIS heart, and he blew his brains out in the alley. I'll never forget that.

Something about the way LW does it seems incredibly forced, though. I'm sure she has an accent, but when she's interviewed, it's played up to almost be cartoonish.

You're out of your skull. The accent is south Alabama perfect. Lainey Wilson is the architect of terrible fake accents.

I tried to watch the first episode, and my mind glazed over like last year. Too much political drama. I know Frank Miller's run had a decent amount of that, but it seemed to work in the comic. Here, we have these characters of DD and Bullseye, and they manage to still make the show slow. I also am disappointed that Dex hasn't been in the comic costume yet- it should be incredibly easy to pull off- not sure why they won't commit to it. It's very yang to DD's yin.

Was driving to work a month ago tomorrow. A mile from my house, I went into a curve, and saw an SUV coming straight toward me, into my lane. My one thought of clarity was "this person is trying to kill themselves, and they're using me." I reflexively jerked the wheel to the right, and got creamed. Back axle and tires came completely off and were thrown 30 yards away. He hit my driver's side passenger door full on. a foot to the left, I'd likely be dead. And if this had occurred another 12 feet up the road, I would've gone over a high embankment. Turns out it was a 17 year old kid on his way to school- he had dropped something from his bookbag, and he reached down to get it while driving 45-50mph into a curve. I walked away without a single scratch.
