I think that is me. I rarely watch entire games anymore. It sucks not being able to look forward to rivalry or any sort of big games anymore.

I went to the game Saturday (invited), and had a blast hanging before the game, but as for the game itself, there was no surprise when we throw an INT the first drive, or when the opponent has 3rd and 15 - its not a question of if, but how, they will get the first down. Its unbelievable the results always look the same no matter the coach. We are basically in a Tennessee type rut, and we just have to wait until its our 'time' again. Which unfortunately for Auburn, is always just a season or two, then we find a way to piss it all away again.

Well, it only took 3 weeks to get to the point most Auburn fans at least try to get to the Georgia before they lose complete hope. But this season is lost. Buy entirely new offensive and defensive lines.

Was in school in the early 90s and the 93 & 94 games were two great games won by Auburn. Man do I miss Jim Fyffe our old radio guy....

For the life of me, I want this to be a point where we start to turn the corner. I can honestly say that 2019 Alabama is the last game that sticks out in my mind. That is so long ago.

Not sure if anything changed before '97, but we didn't even get individual game tickets - it was just one card for the whole season that got punched out for the game in question. God forbid I ever lost that card.

I was in school in the early 90s, and i'm biased, but I think that was prime Gameday. You could basically pull up next to the stadium and park (for free, no less). The only in game music was the band - and even though all us students listened to everything from Led Zeppelin to Nirvana to Megadeath to 60s Motown, we didn't demand, expect, or even desire for that music to be pumped into the stadium at the highest level possible during any possible break in the action. It was an added bonus if the band shot into Whole Lotta Love or Louie Louie.

We were the 'kids', the students, but we also had enough sense to realize that the game was a communal experience, that any age should be able to enjoy

Tickets were $20 face value, which adjusted for inflation is only around $47 dollars. And student tickets were like $20 for the entire season.

So yeah, some of us Gen X'ers and Boomers are wet rags or whatever you want to call us, but we simply were spoiled by the peak experience that was taylored for fans, and not for the almighty dollar, ESPN, or solely the whims of a bunch of 20 year olds.
