I got no problem with Eli being in the HOF. Not wow'd obviously but no problem with it.

I said yes, because he also played in the hardest stadium to throw in because of the wind, and he never had great offensive players around him and many years he had a horrible offensive line. Also had a long consecutive streak for games because he would play hurt.

Two SB wins and last name is Manning. One can debate at length, but he is in with those two attributes alone.

Without those 2 SB wins, I’m not sure he ever sniffs Canton. But he’s got them, so…

Jim Plunkett is the only NFL QB with 2 SB wins or more to not be in the Hall of Fame. Eli's stats are a lot better than his, both have exactly a 50% win-loss record.

Eli is currently top 10 all time in Career Passing Yards and Passing TDs. I think he should get in.

Absolutely in on first ballot. It is incredibly difficult to win two superbowls. Top 10 in two major stats. And I still relish when Eli tripped and fell on his arse.

I think it's a no doubter. The NFL Hall is not as selective with its candidates as the MLB Hall. He won two super bowls. His last name is Manning.

I think Eli is in.

Interesting to see the other names on that list. I would think Adam Vinatieri and Darren Sproles get in.

Anyone else got some names off this list that they think are getting in (or not).

He's in. Not only 2 super bowl wins, but both requiring game winning drives to achieve them. He's the reason there's not two undefeated teams in the Super Bowl era.

So currently split 49/49, don't think I've ever seen the rant so split down the middle.

No.

The HOF should be for the truly great.

Eli Manning was very good, but he was never truly great.

But he will get in because the HOF is watered down pretty severely. A significant percentage of those in the HOF don't really belong.

He's going to make the HoF but he was never really a top quarterback in the league in his career. Two great defenses dragged the opponent down so he only needed to hit a few big passes late in Super Bowls and that is why he will make it to Canton.

This^^

He was good but not great. Completed only 60% of his passes, touchdown-interception ratio was 1.5-1 and his overall passer rating outside the top 30.

Comparatively with his contemporaries, not all that impressive. But for those defenses, he’d likely never be on the ballot, at least not this soon.

His candidacy revolves entirely around two team accomplishments that he was neither the primary nor secondary contributor towards.

He was the MVP for those two super bowls. You don't think the qb has a lot to do with a teams success? And those were pretty good D's they had in New England under Belichick.

People forget he beat the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Yes.

If Joe Namath is in, there is no reason Eli shouldn't be.

His defense held them to 14 points because “Clutch” Tom couldn’t handle pressure.
