He just means that he and the coaching staff will never be pulling double duty coaching another team while also coaching and recruiting for LSU at the same time like they did in December.

I don't think it'll be possible for any team to do this in this era. Rosters aren't deep enough, more conference games, etc.

No coach in the history of sports ever has said we will be better next year...
LSU fans used to a fun group. Now they have gone fricking insane it seems. Delusional. Thinking a coach that has coached at four jobs, 3 in major conference and both with more Natties and Conference titles(USC and Tenn)..and has 0 conference titles at both....will be better than Saban, Smart, Meyer, Bryant, Neyland, etc. Beyond homer.

True, but doing that also helped them get the best defensive player on their team this year so it had its benefits.

I would think common sense would say a 1st year roster where a coach came in December would be his worst roster

No, I don't. Roster is about chemistry as well as talent. Lane is such a me, me, me person it is nauseating. I hope he never wins a championship so that he has to live with his personality flaws.
