Cristobal/Beck has to be one of the dumbest coach/QB combos possible.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a QB regress more in a season than Simpson.
Sure, you can just say he was never good in the first place. Or maybe defenses have figured out to just drop a lot of guys in coverage. Either way he’s completely terrible now and as a result Bama pretty much can’t win games unless they hold opponents under 14 points. It’s a lot to ask of a defense that is good, but not great.

I would have taken the ball if I'm Seattle. Try to get the extra possession, and it puts less pressure on Darnold that first drive.
