Seriously? You guys still thinking you are CFP teams after Sat?

I know one team that absolutely is not and likely heading for a few regular season losses with QB #2. Man, the hypocrisy of it all after all the trash talk and Ags struggling to win with QB #2.

OU fans? Can you keep your QB healthy through the remainder of the year? He is your entire team. Has so much heart and fight in him for a guy his size. I am a fan.

Or will they both sizzle out once again and fall on their platinun plated and hand engraved swords once again in the Big 12. Joining several programs in the SEC that has seriously underperformed.

Gotta hate how NIL is making college more and more like the NFL. At least, I do.

Everyone struggles with someone they probably shouldn't struggle against every year.

Never expected to make ot this year so if we do its gravy. We’re ahead of schedule. And our backup QB is a better thrower but like any QB he won’t have the experience the starter does.

In fact your premise applies to every team in country if they lost their starter. I think our backup could hold his own as good as any though. He’s deadly accurate and a great runner. He’s also learning by playing our D in practice.

I had us 11-1 prior to season and then a shot in conf title game. Still have 5 games ahead to through and like all teams you have to respect every game and every team each one presents different obstacles. Leaving the conf every one of them wants to beat us in last game.

Nothing is for certain and every team has that one or two games they play flat. Its what makes college football fun. Emotioms are a big part of the sport.

I believe we will win our games until we get to the CCG. Does that put us in the CFP? Who knows. This year has been a pleasant surprise and im just enjoying the ride.

I know that aggy is 4-3 staring another 7-5 season in the face though.

I remember:

24 years ago today: The first signature win of the Bob Stoops era.

OU dominated No. 13 Texas A&M in Norman with a 51-6 beat down of the Aggies.

@CoachBobStoops still cites the importance of this game and calls it one of the biggest wins during the early era of his tenure.

No.

Aggy - You think your male cheerleaders are recruiting a new breed of diverse/perverse aggy in Collieville?

Washington beat a 1-win Arizona State team that literally doesn't have enough guys to field a FG unit by a TD at home.

North Carolina did lose to a former 1-win team at home.

Bama barely beat USF and an even worse A&M team on the road.

Playoff-caliber teams struggle with pitiful programs more often than you think. These games are played by 18-22 year old kids, not robots.

OU is a solid team and has a ton of depth. Defense is very good, only weakness is a run game and that may have been remedied the second half Saturday.

Without their QB UT seems to be in trouble, but either of those teams at 13-0 or 12-1 with a conference championship is playoff worthy.

You can't eliminate a team for one close game against suspect competition if the entire body of work is solid.
