It’s more complicated than that. My mother died in June. I’ve found out that my parents whole adult life is a house of financial cards. So I have to keep it afloat in order to get the house sold. The house is where my brother lives is on the market after this weekend. He got the memo and got a job quick cause he knows I am not my mom and not going to fund his life. My dad has severe dementia and I’ve had to move him into assisted living. So yeah I’m not an enabler I’m fixing the problem my parents created but there has to be a bridge to get there. It’s called family.
