That Miami team had some great NFL talent, but that is based off entire roster, not starters and production in NFL, which doesnt equate to college. Great team, but not tops all time. But agree with your LOL's though

We were talking this morning how insanely good the 2011 SEC would have been had Marcel Darius, Julio, Ingram, PP7 , Kelvin Shepherd, Cam, Fairley and AJ Green all returned for their senior season. Odds are you would have had Bama, LSU, AU, & UGA 1-4 in that same 11/21 poll with Arkansas hovering around 7-9.

In 2010, five out of six SEC West teams FINISHED in the top 15. Sorry, Ole Miss.

#1 LSU

I was in Tiger Stadium for that game. I was obnoxious as frick when we went up 14-0 in the first half. We fumbled on the way to what looked like 21-0 and it went downhill from there. Way downhill if you consider the motorcycle wreck a couple months later.

The good old days. I would let Bobby Petrino fart in my dinner tonight if he would come back and take us back to relevancy.

I mean, Houston Nutt definitely helped this happen with the extra bye he gave everyone

Yup and #3 Arky was up on #2 LSU 14-0 back when we played each other the day after thanksgiving. I remwmber that game like yesterday, i thought for a secomd we just might go to a National Championship............

Then Honey-badger happened. I was there in rare form with my coon-arse relatives. Set up the tailgate at 6am and partied until about 3am. Fun times. I'm ready for our games to mean something again.

how dominant the conference used to be.

It was pretty dang impressive to have two SEC teams play for the NC in January '18.

Still can’t believe how bad that Petrino debacle hurt the program.

1. Alabama
2. LSU
5. Arkansas

That was the final AP poll in 2011.

I actually think Arkansas was the legit 3rd best team and that we'd have killed Okie State, but LSU and Alabama were on a different level. I knew we'd lose to both, because those were some nasty defenses.

Even though I knew we'd lose to LSU, the talk about Arkansas not making the title game if we won was insane. I still can't believe some in the media were saying it didn't matter if LSU lost.
