Demise of football Dynasties

Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, etc. get ready for (wait for it) PARITY.
Yes, assuming the ncaa continues (no assurance) the implementation of revised/revising transfer rules and NIL have totally changed the concept of football dynasties.
Parity rules and I envision in the near term games where Georgia loses to Vanderbilt and Alabama loses to Middle Tenn State.
Too much money involved and too many good players unwilling to be 3rd on a dynasty depth chart.

Rebuilds are going to be a lot quicker too. You don't have to stack multiple recruiting classes to get back to being competitive. Just have to poach other teams' players to fill needed gaps.

The exact opposite is true.
If Vandy and Middle Tennessee St had a late bloomer/under the radar stud.. the elites would snatch them up. The elites have another thing in common, a huge following that will feed their favorite program to keep them on top.

I remember the same prediction of the 4 team playoff, the BCS, the Bowl Alliance-- and yet, parity has steadily declined.
I'm sure the 12 team playoff won't be 8 usual suspects and 4 sacrificial lambs, nooo. That'll never happen.

MTSU and Vandy are not going to be paying Alabama's third stringers more than Alabama can, and players have always had the ability to choose MTSU and Vandy over Bama if playing time was their primary concern.
The best players still want elite coaching, competition against the best, and an overall atmosphere and environment with a track record of putting players into the NFL.

There might be more parity between the big programs but it will only further separate the big guys (Bama, UGA, tOSU, etc) from the rest of us.
I have to say that I’m just so darned tired. Programs like mine don’t stand a chance. In the 70s it was increasing scholarships. That was the first blow. Now we got NIL - which is fine- except that now it’s a bidding war before the kid even gets to school. It was never supposed to be that. Now we got wide open transfers- some of it is good for the kid- but, as with everything else, it’s gone too far. I can envision every one of our good players leaving, then what? So we are just a feeder system for you? We have less than 7000 undergrads; you think we are going to get walk-ons? Now we got schools that can just dump all their players and get new ones. Do you think schools like Vandy would do that? I hope all the Bigs just form their own super league and let the rest of us have fun playing competitive football with a more balanced playing field in normal geographic conference with normal rules for schools that want to keep ‘schools’ in the equation. I’ve been watching football for almost 70 years, and I’m just not enjoying it any more. I watch the Vandy game and cheer like hell for our guys to do well and that’s about it. Watching all you semi-pros (and they are extraordinary) just doesn’t give me any fun anymore. Sorry for this but, every week it’s just the same. It depresses me now. What’s the point?

Not unless they guarantee the player he will start immediately.
I think the point of the OP is no one is going to be able to stack talent anymore. People will walk if they don't play right away. We are seeing it already. You've got 5 stars transferring out of schools like OSU and Bama because they are 2nd or 3rd on depth chart.

While I feel the same way as you do, the issue is the government, not the NCAA. Your hard-working congressmen have effectively declared amateur sports to be illegal.

So you are saying that the boosters of the Vandy’s and MTSU’s of the world will outbid the boosters of the Alabama’s and Georgia’s of the world for players they want.

While I hate that you feel the way you do (that truly sucks) I don’t necessarily agree with you.
While it is harder for a school like Vanderbilt to compete with the Alabama’s of the world, it isn’t impossible. What you need is a system coach.. Mike Leach type.. someone that is a really good football coach and knows how to create advantages when the talent level isn’t the same.
From there, he will need to find and identify the right dudes to run what he wants to run. They don’t have to be 5 star guys. Smart dudes who want to get a great education.
We have high school programs all over Texas like this. It can be done. Just takes the right guy to come along and then you gotta keep him once you find him.
The portal should 100% help Vanderbilt if it is used the right way.
Just my opinion. Perhaps I am wrong.

If they were good enough to be on the field for Bama or Georgia they wouldn't have to transfer. How is a team full of 3rd stringers gonna win a title when they got to play the guys they couldn't beat out?

Georgia is no more a dynasty than was Florida from 2006-2009.
