He's been successful in two years than many coaches have been in the conference. I'd take him over that clown in BR 7 days a week.

Seems lsu fans celebrate a Georgia victory more than Georgia fans.

Deboer has been a P4 coach 4 seasons. He has made his conference championship game and the college play offs twice each.

Of the two teams represented in these comments so far:

• DeBoer snapped one’s 33-game home winning streak en route to starting 2–0 against them; and

• DeBoer literally ran the other’s fans (and head coach) out of the stadium while also going 2–0.

• One doesn’t realize they haven’t won a playoff game since 2022; and

• The other has looked so embarrassing they just blew through a quarter of a billion dollars in six months to try and catch up to the first two.

And neither one can understand “why we’re so stupid.”

The back to back titles give him a pass but the lack of playoff results - they’ll become a problem for bowl cut if he fails again this

Way too many Alabama fans are celebrating their DEI round College Football Playoff win just as hard as they used to celebrate national championships.

You beat a team that was literally booed in its own stadium two weeks in a row before you played them, and then you turned around and embrassessed the SEC harder than it'd ever been embarrased in the playoffs the next week, once you got past the DEI round.

He's a big name because of Penix and the springboard he gave KD to bama.

Sorry you're salivating over a slightly above average coach.

That's the problem with Bama job, they will never give an up and coming assistant a look for hc.

I don't think you comprehend English, friend. Where did I say anything about Alabama should do better than DeBoer? I actually have argued that it makes sense that they extended him.

On the other hand, some on here don't seem to be willing to admit that much of the fanbase itself didn't think extending him was earned.

P4 winning percentage of current SEC coaches.

Smart: 84.8%
Deboer: 77%
Heupel: 69.2%
Kiffin: 69.2%
Elko: 68.6%
Golding: 66%
Sark: 62.8%
Venables: 61.5%
Drinkwitz: 61.3%
Beamer: 52.4%
Lea: 41.9%
Lebby: 28%
Sumrall: N/A
Silverfield: N/A
Stein: N/A
Golesh: N/A

Average: 61.9%

Only two current SEC coaches have a P4 winning percentage > 70%.

There are either a lot of people here who are either borderline retarded or too emotionally broken and biased to think logically. Or possibly both.

Georgia fans have fans have to hope Kirby doesn’t fall to 1-3 against him once the season starts.

I always shake my head when I see posts like this. I don't get the fascination with how a coach does verses another coach. LSU fans bring up Orgeron. I'll say this a dozen more times....I don't care if we lose to Alabama every time we face them, If Kirby wins a few more National Championships. And I don't mind losing to Alabama during the regular season if we beat them in the SEC Championship games or National Championship games. Let Alabama fans have their moral victories of, "DeBoer has beaten Kirby 2 of the last 3 times they have faced!"

Yeah, it worked out great with Mike Dubose and Mike Shula, both up and coming assistants when they were hired.

Dubose wasn’t cut out to be a head coach. He was suited to be a DL position coach. Shula was also not cut out to be a head coach, he was suited to be a QB position coach.

We know because we saw what they did in their careers.
