SMU was better than LSU when it received the Death Penalty. How far will LSU fall?

LSU could get the death penalty in both sports and still win a title before Ole Miss does.

A VCU player, a Memphis player and a Florida State player.

Down goes LSU.

There wont be another death penalty. The NCAA may do what they did to Bama and make you WISH you got it vs watching the product on the field but they wont hand that down again.

With that said, the Wade stuff and the football stuff deal with the hospital are BAD. If they dont levee serious sanctions then they arent planning to again. Now I speak as a gunshy fan who the NCAA drilled a new a-hole....TWICE..so I am nervous anytime they sniff around but there has to be significant punishment for both sports and not talking a bowl ban but serious reductions in scholarships which is what kills you. Bowl bans are window dressing. When they take away 25 schollies from your football team the bowl ban takes care of itself and yes, I speak from experience. 2003-2007 was fkn miserable.

That issue was addressed, but now they say Odell created an institutional issue when there was nothing institutional about him running around drunk and high at the championship game.

Honestly, it’s probably gonna be pretty damn near it for basketball. Hopefully they’ll be lenient since we cut Wade loose. This shite looks horrible.

Mizzou fired the rogue tutor who took a fricking test for one player, admitted our mistake and threw ourselves on the mercy of the NCAA We got a bowl suspension, loss of scholarships, limited time periods for contacting kids and more.

Y'all should use the kansas method. Tell the NCAA to frick off and dare them to penalize you.

I swear people just repeat whatever they read on the internet. The stuff with the hospital is not that bad for LSU. People have completely refused to even try to read what that is even about. Recruits weren’t paid. The guy at OLOL and the parent of a player funneled money so they could steal it. It was mostly done after the player had left LSU. That was 2 adult crooks who didn’t work for LSU stealing money for themselves. It wasn’t a recruitment tool and really had nothing to do with the athletic programs

It's a violation by the letter of the law though.

"No way forward?" Take a brief glance at what Kansas & Arizona did, and what happened to those 2 blue bloods. Study Pearl's resume in the last decade: with him as HC, three different schools were placed on probation.Look what happened to him. As for comparing SMU's transgressions to LSU : SMU's president, the president of the university, was found to be neck deep in the athletic dept.'s corruption. The number of players & recruits found to have received illegal benefits was found to be over 30. LSU's numbers are nowhere close to what happened at SMU.

And before you get on your high horse my dad was bagman for Ole Miss and I personally hand delivered Multiple brown paper bags filled with 5 to 7k in 20 dollars bills in Moss Point to his Uncle to entice George Wonsley to come to ole miss. (Didn’t get him but my dad helped get Nathan )

It’s the only reasonable outcome.
