Meh there was definitely implication in his post and yours that being 19 carries some kind of negative context. I’m a firm believer in holding over/starting late especially for most boys and it is firmly within the rule and always has been. No senior plays against only seniors so the point y’all are trying to make is invalid. Every senior has an advantage as they are playing against freshman, sophomores, and juniors. Being 18 or 19 doesn’t change that. If you don’t want to hold your kids over or don’t like it when other people doing lthat’s fine but they aren’t doing anything wrong or questionable and it doesn’t even deserve mentioning when they do.
Then why make the post at all? You say you don’t care about the rule and aren’t trying to disparage the kid or his talent but your post is exactly that. You’re like the Will Ferrel bit where he says “with all due respect” then says the most disrespectful thing he can think of lol.
I could have sworn all SEC series started on Thursday Easter weekend. Did it use to be that way?
You aren't being serious right? She isn't the only example of people developing these skills to some extent later in life. Stay off of the Youtube deep fake videos and just read some history.
You do realize it was documented how she learned right? It's explained in detail. I'm not saying some of the accomplishments that are credited to her later in life aren't exaggerated but we know with 100% certainty she learned to do many things. You remind me of the Gen Z kids who refuse to believe that Chamberlin scored 100 in a game because they can't watch a Youtube video of it. Just because it's beyond your ability to grasp doesn't mean it isn't real, it could just mean the concept is beyond your capability to comprehend.
It does seem like all they have done is trade one grouping of missed calls for another. Robbing Peter to pay Paul if you will.
It is definitely close and a real argument can be made Thomas is a little better at this point(when healthy). Also Thomas can go on to play in zero NBA games and it doesn't mean he wasn't a better college player. I loved Smart but you are picking a weird hill to die on. We ae talking players very much on the same level.
I think Thomas had that dawg in him too and honestly him getting hurt unfortunate as it was might have been the best thing for our program because if he is healthy we probably make the tournament or at least are close at McMahon gets another year at least. We would have won 4-5 more conference games with him maybe more. Now if you are saying health is part of your evaluation I get it but when healthy he was every bit as good if not better than smart and not a huge gap behind waters. I think you are way underrating him. Maybe the best player McMahon ever brought in. I think he would have started or been the 6th man on any Wade team. Especially since Wade liked to play 2 point guards at times
Bro you are in the middle of an all time weird melt. I disagree with at good bit of what LE post but Thomas was a good player for us before the injury. He is absolutely comparable to Smart and while I would definitely rate waters as the best of the 3 but he wasn’t in some different stratosphere. At the level he was playing before the injury Thomas would start for the vast majority of teams in the country. He was probably a 2nd team all conference type heading into conference play. You have to be able to separate the coach from the player. McMahon hate is blinding you, don’t get me wrong I’m so glad he is gone and Wade is back but every player who played for Wade isn’t automatically better than every player who played for McMahon. That’s emotional thinking.
No pretty sure he was a straight up commie even though he claimed to hate them.
While I def came here as an admitted novice it is apparent to even me that some of your are confusing bulking with building/gaining lean muscle. I'm talking about replacing body fat with some muscle not getting huge or pumped up. Dr. Idz whose is one of the internet fitness experts I actually respect, stands by that total calories has zero to do with building muscle and to say it does shows a complete lack of understanding of the science/physics behind the process. He backs up his stance with science/research explaining how it is a signal dependent process not an energy dependent process and those signals are strength/resistance training and eating the correct/large amounts of protein. Those things send the signals to your muscle to grow not excess calories. I'll be honest I've seen good results on this current fitness journey so far following his science based advice and I really only started this thread to see what people's opinion was on 75g of protein in 1 sitting lol.

The idea that Lebron's hype is organic and Jordan's is a media created lie is the most laughable take of the year. Just day "I don't want tot be taken seriously in conversations about sports" it would be quicker.

Also add Jordan at age 40 had a better Defensive rating than Lebron has for his career average lol. As a matter of fact Jordans' defensive rating at 40 would have been the 5th best of Lebron's career and almost a tie for 4th.

You are right and you aren't saying anything that this season doesn't clearly show. Fan boys don't like it but it is the reality.

Got ya and I don't know if this matters but I'm not sure I was clear in my goal. Not trying to bulk up, just build and tone some lean muscle as I lose weight/fat. Lookin for a leaner and tone look not really trying to get "swole"

So it's impossible to loss body weight/fat and build lean muscle at the same time? I thought that was the whole skinny fat thing to try and avoid? Not trying to argue or be a smartbutt just trying to understand.

Yes he is capable of putting up good games still but don't pretend there hasn't been a drop off. Stats can be deceiving, the Lakers are clearly better without him most nights and the numbers clearly show that. I honestly believe their only chance at a title run this year however small is if he misses most of the playoffs. If he is healthy they have to play him and they simply aren't consistently good with him. What he is doing is super impressive for his age but you know at his current level if he was the best player on his team they would be about like the pelicans and if he was a clear 2nd best they would be fighting for a spot in the play in.
Some of yall remind me of the crazy super anti government guy I use to go to church with who posted that the government was hiding the vaccine in Hellman's mayo lol. It was a facebook post being passed around by crazy boomer types, I would almost bet my life savings at least one poster here shared it. I have a health distrust of the government but some of yall will believe anything if it fits your prior beliefs.
Got ya, what calorie calculator or formula do you use or think is best for determining what deficit to hit. If I put in my information on the first 5 calorie calculators that pull up on google I get 5 very difference calculations for my maintenance calories, like a range of almost 1000 calories different. Is there one that is considered best practice?
Ok got a question about calories related to muscle. One of the only online fitness people I take seriously says that building lean muscle has nothing to do with total calories. He says building muscle is a signal dependent process not an energy dependent process. So as long as you are sending the right signals to your body (strength training and eating the right amount of protein) total calories don't matter. He says this is how you can be in a deficit and burn fat while building lean muscle at the same time. I follow this person because he is an actual doctor trained in nutritional research and his thing is debunking gym bros and holistic fitness people who try to get you to buy snake oil or their particular workout plan. Not saying that makes him 100% right all the time as the last 10 years or so have weakened my belief that a degree makes you right or honest.. What is yall's opinion on that subject?
Let me answer some of these questions. The type is body fortress whey protein. I currently weigh about 230. I started this diet at about 256. I want to get to 195. And i guess i was just wondering to see if it could help me get a little more in and outside of chicken breast it is the most efficient food I eat for nutrients per calories. I’ve been around 1300-1400 calories a day and around 175-195 grams of protein
