re: Dawn Staley is the best active WBB coach—hands down…

People saying Mulkey was lucky to win her title at LSU because South Carolina got upset forget Staley had the exact same scenario break her way to win her 1st title. The "unbeatable" team had a 1 off bad game in the final four that allowed her team to beat State in the finals instead of playing that Uconn team that would have almost assuredly trounced her South Carolina team in the title game. You can say Staley is currently better than Mulkey but it is based completely on the eye test, nothing result driven agrees there is much difference currently and career wise Mulkey is still clearly above her

Didn’t get to watch every inning this weekend, did Noot pitch? If not could be a good place for a start tomorrow.

That is some revisionist history. Brady didn’t just pull the final 4 year out of nowhere.
2000-sweet 16
2002 -nit
2003-ncaa tournament 1st round
2004 nit (was on pace to be around a 3-4 seed and best player got hurt)
2005 ncaa tournament 1st round
2006-final 4
Things were off the tracks the last 2 years but you can make a real argument he was fired too quick. He probably does as good or better than Trent in 2009. That was his team. While he was just slightly less consistent than Wade I’d have a hard time not saying Brady had the 2nd best tenure behind Dale. The truth is he and Wade both should have coached longer.

North Korea is a tough out. They always show up hungry and ready to compete.

You don't seem to understand what triggered means. Not liking a choice, expressing that and choosing an alternative even if mainly to make a point doesn't really equal being triggered. Think more along the lines of breaking down emotionally/sky screaming and trying get people fired and shunned from polite society. Or protesting/rioting in the streets over things you don't agree with, that's being triggered. I'd say the lack of awareness is in your lack of actually understanding the buzzwords you like to throw around.

Yea somehow I missed 2022 when i was looking at it. Even then they only tied for 11th in total medals and that was their best showing ever in a winter games

Yeah I'm not sure China has ever finished ahead of us or even top 5 in winter. Russia usually below us or right next to us. It's Germany, Norway and to a lesser extent Canada that are above us usually in the winter games

We do very well every winter Olympics but nothing like summer. We usually finish top 2-3 in total medals and top 2-5 in gold.
re: Women of the OT - Why do women complain so much?
Posted by OGtigerfan87 on 2/5/26 at 8:10 am to deeprig9
I figure the OP is just trying to be funny or edgy but it really is fairly simple. Estrogen makes woman act in stereotypical ways like being whiny/emotional. Men are aggressive/loud and fit other stereotypical descriptors because of testosterone. The 1st response in the thread could have been one word "Biology" and we could have ended the thread there and then.

I mean the O-lineman you got from LSU are def not good players at this point.

You are looking forward to conference play because you want the coach and team to fail we simply hope things go better this year, we are not the same. And for the record you won’t find anybody on here who confidently says coach finally has it figured out and this team will for sure play well in conference. We just realize he is the coach so we might as well support him until he either breaks through or is fired at the end of the year. Posters like you would rather be right than see the team have success

I love Wade and hoped till the end we could keep him but in what world is NC State having a “great” year? They are 9-4 heading into conference play without a big/signature non conference win. With the ACC not quite being what it used to be they better reel off a good conference record or they could end up on the wrong side of the bubble. Honestly I wouldn’t trade our resume right now for theirs. They are slightly ahead in net but we have the best win and 3 less losses so more room for error. Don’t get me wrong I know Wade is an awesome coach and some of y’all wanted to turn this into a hate McMahon thread but the statistics simply don’t agree with that sentiment at this point in this season.

This is a professional fight and not an exhibition. The result goes on their records and a loss would all but end Joshua's career as a serious heavyweight. No chance it is fixed or fake.
re: Bold prediction: Texas wins the sec title and national title next season
Posted by OGtigerfan87 on 12/19/25 at 8:24 am to Texas Man
I mean it's not really bold. In the day and age of portal and NIL teams with resources can win it any given year regardless of how they were the year before. Everything kind of resets each year now instead of building off the last season Georgia has to be THE favorite but Texas is right there in the favorites list.
re: Why is Curne or Thomas leaving because of Brad Davis?
Posted by OGtigerfan87 on 12/18/25 at 8:38 am to Hahnville07
Yall are way over thinking this. It is the same as a professional in any sport testing free agency except that it happens every year. Doesn't mean they aren't happy where they are but want to see what offers they get. Whether or not that is a good thing is a different conversation but it is the nature of the beast now. You have to stop looking at it as some negative when one of your player enters the portal. Heck if they aren't at least thinking about it they probably aren't very good. Just the world we live in

No they are not, you spend too much time on the internet. Nurses and teachers are barely if any more liberal on average than the the general population of their area. "Progressives" in general are miserable people no matter the occupation
