10. WISCONSIN’S HAIL MARY LOSS TO OHIO STATE IN 2011

9. FLORIDA STATE NAILS GAME-WINNING FIELD GOAL

8. THE PRAYER AT JORDAN HARE

7. ALABAMA DOWNS FLORIDA FOR 2009 SEC CHAMPIONSHIP

6. MICHIGAN’S PUNT BLUNDER AGAINST MICHIGAN STATE IN 2015

5. THE BUSH PUSH

4. CLEMSON BEATS ALABAMA AT THE BUZZER

3. PASS INTERFERENCE ON MIAMI IN 2003 FIESTA BOWL

2. ALABAMA’S GAME-WINNER FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

1. KICK SIX

I think the Yeldon screen pass should easily be top 5 on this list.

this was an amazing moment. I used to love those old Dantonio Sparty teams. Tough and physical.

This is a list of the most depressing losses of all-time but there's nothing before 2005.

There was one from 94.

Back in the day people didn't have time to be depressed over a college football loss.

Also, I feel like our loss to FSU in Pasadena was worse than a lot of those.

Yeah, perhaps just a small bit of recency bias here. Gotta figure games like Punt, Bama, Punt and the Nebraska loss to Miami in the 80's where they went for two, the win, and the NC and didn't make it would have to be up there.

Clearly that writer was not made aware of Arkansas getting their shite kicked in by a Western Kentucky team led by the former Arkansas QB that was run off by Chad Morris in order to bring his guy in. That was depressing as frick and an all time CFB low.

nah. It obviously sucked don't get me wrong, but the 2nd "most depressing" loss in teh history of the sport? Not even close and here's why.

In 2012, with a similar gut punch ending, you felt like Richt had reached his pinnacle and that after we lost that game we probably wouldn't have as good of a title shot again. An all or nothing, now or never kinda thing. With 2017, it felt like kirby was just getting started and that we'd be back. And whaddayaknow. The following year we were a few minutes away from being back in the playoffs. In 2019 we were 1 game away fromthe playoffs. 2020 was a down year. In 2021 we won it all. That loss was a bummer but you knew we'd be back and that kirby would get one eventually.

Also upon closer insepction, 247 thinks of the 10 worst losses ever that 8 of them have been in the last 15 yeras? 9 of them in the last 20 yeras?

The FSU game winning drive against Auburn in Pasadena is easily the worst loss Auburn’s experienced and could make a case for that list. We blew a 21-3 lead too.

Punt Bama punt should have made this list

NUMBER ONE should have been Doug fluties Hail Mary…period.

Cal Stanford laterals kick return should be there as well.

I’ll bet this dude was born in like 1999.

How is 1/9/12 not in here? That was a massive blow for LSU fans in a game in which LSU's offense was utterly crushed.

I think LSU fans themselves would admit that was a very depressing loss.

Uhh, WVU losing to Pitt in 2007 was the most depressing loss in college football history and it didn't even make this list.

The 2002 Bluegrass Miracle had to be the most depressing loss for Kentucky. Bluegrass Miracle

I know these aren’t big P5 programs, but Sunbelt Billy Napier throwing a pick 6 on a 2 point conversion to lose the game vs. Appalachian is pretty depressing.
