I attended that game in person (pledge class reunion weekend). I can absolutely attest to the depression. That night at the bars the whole town collectively went through (some of) the 5 stages of grief:
1. Denial (no fricking way that stands)
2. Anger (fricking stupid-arse inept/corrupt officials)
3. Bargaining (surely an appeal to the Big 8 Commissioner will right this wrong)
4. Depression (how did such a thrilling upset get snatched away from us?)
5. Acceptance (never did)

1959 LSU loss to Tennessee should be in the top ten.

Oklahoma State missing a questionable FG against Iowa State in 2011.

1983 Egg Bowl

Some one of you have never lost a game due to Mother Nature and it shows.

We still haven't recovered since losing the 09 SECTG. Our last great team.

The kick 6 isn't even close to the most depressing loss because everybody (but Bama fans) were rooting for Auburn.

The most depressing loss as far as sheer number of depressed people would probably be when Bama took Notre Dame to the woodshed at the end of the 2012 season.

That result was a foregone conclusion

4th-n-25 literally cost Ole Miss and SEC Title.

How that didnt make the list is pathetic tbh.
