If we hired Deion we would have had a QB but still lost to decent teams.
If we hired Kiffin we would be totally fuxked. We wouldn't have a QB or defense. We probably would have lost to Cal and have a worse record.

It’s year 1 after whatever the hell that last hire was. Impossible to judge them fairly.

Impossible to tell.
Harsin literally burned down any semblance of a recruiting program.
Recruiting is 70% of competing in college football.
You must constantly recruit, and then recruit more.
It may take 3 classes for Brother Hugh to get things righteous.

Hugh Freeze is a great coach and in 3 yrs. This will be a completely different looking team. He inherited a really bad situation just like Kelly did. You have to take into consideration what he has done in the past. Although I don’t personally care for him at all I will give him props on being a good coach.

Anyone who thinks Freeze all the sudden became a bad coach is a hater, moron, or both. He took over a program that essentially threw away 4 years of recruiting. His roster is terrible but they have a top 15ish defense and they run the ball well. Imagine what he’ll do with SEC quality QBs and skill players.

Depends on what Auburn wants. If they want a solid, above average, probably top 15-20 program, no they didn’t frick up. But if they want championships, I don’t think Freeze is doing that at this point in his coaching career.

High Freeze gave Bama fits at OM. now he may not have the talent at AU that he had at OM, but he's got voodoo at JH and that can make up for a lot

That’s the key. How well is he going to recruit. He’s upgraded from Harsin but he’s got a little bit to go to bring in top 5 classes. Plus the transfer portal has changed things in all sorts of ways now so the game is a bit different. Auburn will be a tough team each week in short order. Probably next year.
