I actually Disagree with you on the defense

The DL should be very good with Alexander, fehoko, Lawrence starting and Shelvin coming in at NT too.

I like Chaisson or Moore to step in to play the ended. Tyler was outplaying Alexander all season so we will probably Improve at the ILB opposite probably the best player in the defense.

We return both safeties and all backups, and Greedy Williams. Vincent looked very good at CB while Donte was or. The biggest question mark is DL depth (again but not as bad) and if Fulton can lock down the other side.

I am expecting an 7-5 season, with an outside chance for 9-3, if we catch some breaks.

9-3 would be awesome.

This is the SEC Rant, which is a sub board, from a LSU message board.

Stop saying this is a "LSU board".

This is an LSU board.

Most threads, and posters here, are focused primarily on LSU.

UF and MS are going to be gimme games this year. Mullen won't do it in one year

We beat Florida by a point last season, and you apparently think we're going to have a worse offense and defense. Yet it's a gimme?

MSU returns everybody and skull drug the tiggers all over the field, yet they are penciled in as a win as well

Here’s what I posted early last season when some fans were ready to jump off of a cliff.

quote:

re: how do you see LSU's season playing out?Posted on 9/17/17 at 6:19 pm to Tigerbait357 I'm guessing similar to last season's record. I don't think it will be as bad as some are making it out to be and I don't think a team or coach can be defined by a loss early in the season.

That said, I expect more of the same next season although LSU may very well end up with 3 losses instead of 4.

We’re very young outside the starting 3.

Depth doesn’t just mean we have bodies there if 1 goes down. We’re 2 injuries away from starting Farrell or Logan and rotating in true freshmen.

Oh, we're going to beat State next season. I wasn't referring to you guys, which is why you weren't mentioned.

I hope the predictions of a stout defense are true, but there's a whole lot of uncertainty on both sides of the ball.
Pardon me for not assuming every one of the new faces will be as good as advertised. I think we will have some growing pains on defense.

On offense, we have the potential to be in loads of trouble. Most times when we're breaking in a new starting QB, we at least have an elite RB to ease the burden. I don't see that being the case next year.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I think we might be in for a shockingly rough season next year.

And I couldn't even tell you the name of State's new coach, if you had a gun to my head.

Well it ain't Ed Orgeron, so that's all you need to know at this point. Best advice I can give you is stock up on bourbon and midol and enjoy the tailgates.

As long as Eddie O and his offensive staff are in place, no season is something to look forward to.

Not close to being correct, we scored 3 TD's on you.

MSU scored 37 pts
Troy 24 pts
ND 21 pts

Where did you come up with that 3 TD number?

Aranda in his first year had one. He allowed fewest TDs in the country. In our 4 losses we allowed 3 TDs total.
